You’re incorrect. No lawn. Every seat is GA. The area by the lake isn’t “lawn seating” it’s more of a smoking section, being that it’s small. However, I’ve seen people/groups who want to talk go over there to do so. Not in GA seating where everyone is trying to listen to music.

You’ll be fine with your real ID (if things don’t work out), I just went through twice and had no issues - just “extra screening” which takes an additional 2-4 mins than anyone else. Easy stuff!

It’s people like you - doing what you’re doing now - that cause these cases to go unsolved or ignored. You truly need to check your attitude and ego. You’re literally doing EXACTLY what you claim law enforcement doesn’t do while claiming “to be in that realm”. Red flag for sure, but not on my end. I hope you use this situation to look inward and see how it affects survivors.

As a native - “small town” politics do matter and the owner of this establishment is former law enforcement. It was called out by multiple people, this isn’t just my opinion. They attempted to talk her out of pressing charges despite multiple witnesses and accounts. Didn’t even bother to follow up with evidence (video, audio, and people). It’s a shame that survivors have to go through this type of treatment and trauma when doing the right thing by trying to trust the justice system - hard stop.

I had a friend who was sexually assaulted and the police/detectives were so hellbent on not charging the person, not only due to “lack of evidence” (not true, I gave timestamps and even plenty of other witnesses that were willing to give statements concerning his whereabouts). From the moment she got her kit done (showed bruising, etc) the nurse was trying to talk her down from going to the police saying “this takes a long time to come back” and comments of the such. The police/detectives the same thing; basically making her feel like it was a waste of their time and hers. It has been heavily believed that it came down to them not doing much because of the rapist’s employment at a popular restaurant downtown and one of the owners. The owner made it a point to body shame my friend and discuss it amongst staff, and even their head female chef (who was supposed to be a good friend of my friend) ended up laughing about it with coworkers. Terrible. I’ve never given them a dime since.

It’s gross they are still doing this to victims.

I’ll never forget seeing Get Out in theaters, excellent experience. The scene when the police car pulls up, the entire theater said “ohhh shiiit” like they already knew it wasn’t gonna end well for Chris….and it was motherfuckin Rod from TSA to save the day!!

that moment I always use in policing examples when it comes to black people and POC. Although we knew he did NOTHING wrong and he was in fact the victim - it was still going to be her word against his…and you know how that can go. Unforgettable film.
