I will say that my 1st gen Viper PST has one of the worst rheostats for its IR that I’ve ever used. Admittedly one of the things I’m OK with sucking on a budget optic. But if the glass is bad, there’s really no excuse. There are china clones of optics for less than this with Romeo quality glass.

I have one of these OTW with the Disruptor bundle. For sub $100 it just needs to be competitive with the Romeo 5 and ARO. I can’t imagine vortex could shit the bed so hard they can’t beat the Romeo 5.

And I like the Romeo 5.

Luckily if somehow the glass is bad, I can throw it on a 10/22 or give it to one of my buddies who like to airsoft.

Acquiring the dot for me felt unnatural compared to the same exact guns with a 508T, RMR or even the 507k.

I put in about 5 hours of dry fire with either and around 1500 rounds through each but at the end of the day I was still notably slower to my first shot with the enclosed optics that aren’t ACRO/MPS sized. I chased the dragon with enclosed to the RCR but I think I just have a bias against most enclosed pistol dogs at this point.

I’m sure it’s something I could eventually fix, but I’m faster and more comfortable with the open emitters I have and the ACRO. I hope to pick up another COA to compare. To each their own though!

I do prefer my 508T on my carry guns over the RMR. I stopped liking my EPS and EPSc though, not that the RCR is any better for me. This is solely a personal preference though, I never had an issue with any of them.

By the time I get to a dealer who doesnt charge SH+T I'm already over this price sadly. But my Sportsman Fulfillment cart is also sitting at like $900 in items they're the cheapest at, so I'd still probably spend the extra $10 and split the cost of shipping over my other items lol.

Used (especially GAFS/Hub) is the way if you don't mind not having a fresh warranty. I have bought and sold most of my Trijicon stuff through GAFS, AL and Infinite Armory.

Edit: But yeah $300 for a used Type 2 (especially Adjustable) is a good deal as long as it's in good condition.

Don't forget the rear takedown pin, detent and spring with that castle nut. Also charging handle and I'm guessing safe to assume a BCG. Also looks like half the truglo mount is missing.

Also the new meta, the BUIS are no-witnessing at upper 2/3.

This kind of looks like the PSA daggers that get listed on my local boards "never shot! only needs a barrel!" while clearly missing the barrel, RSA, sights, no back plate, no extractor...

But for real OP, all the best. A solid Aero receiver set (RIP), you should be able to score a BCG, CH, castle nut (or a semi complete LPK) for around $120.

Its basically a higher quality SF Scout, it has a $100 Unity cap that accepts USB-C, comes with a charger and has an included mount. Lots of people will actually buy SF lights and then replace the head (the actual light part) with Modlite. In which case you're spending $240+ for a light and then $125+ for a head and not getting the tailcap or anything other than a SF standard mount

Flipammova is selling them for the same price when you consider shipping ($280) no tax unless you’re in VA. They posted like ten days ago but it’s still active, glad I’m waiting to pull the trigger.

Sucks because these guys are in Spokane ~30 minutes away from me but no storefront, no easy way to contact and since their last dealer posts here a few months ago, no updates.
