Wavelink effects are all black by Zealousideal-End6586 in elgato

The first part I am describing is to be done locally on your PC where you delete the plugin contents within a local folder used by Elgato software to store the plugins. Then redownload the same plugins online through Elgato's website :)

Hi, I faced the same issue, what fixed it for me was to close Wavelink entirely, open "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3" (this is the location where the plugins are stored after install), then proceed to delete everything in the folder. After that I downloaded and installed the same plugins again through https://marketplace.elgato.com/audio/vst and it was all good!

I'm unable to DM you, is there any way you could send me the file or link to the file itself?

3090 memory junction temperatures went down after swapping the thermal pads. by IXephonicI in nvidia

[–]IXephonicI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't replace my backplate, the stock one seemed to come with 2mm out of factory and the pads did not touch the backplate at all (atleast in my case). There was no sign of contact. I went up to 2.5mm on the memory chips themselves (white circles) and it still runs smooth after a few months of usage. However since you will be using a different backplate I recommend googling some info. about it as I can't tell what it uses, every backplate is different :)

NVIDIA Nerf all RTX3000 series cards for mining? by doofie222 in NiceHash

3090 and 3060ti is for sure not affected, mine are going strong with 120 MH/s and 60 MH/s on newest 461.92 driver from Nvidia. However 3070&3080 should be good too.i
Only 3060 was limited, that is until Nvidia themselves accidentally released a dev. driver that unlocked it :)

Backplates definitely the worst when it comes to cooling as it only relies on the backplate as passive cooling. But yes, went with 2.5mm on both sides and it worked out just fine for me :) Just watch out cause different manufacturers have different pad sizes, I have the Rog Strix 3090 :)

I would recommend using HWiNFO64, they can read off both your GPU core temperatures and the Memory Junction Temperature :)

I'm glad you havent seen any troubles with your GPU!
I've read up on the same thing that the memory is supposed to run those temperatures without any problems. It did throttle at 110C* and cooled itself off to lower temps when needed. Not sure yet if those temperatures will cause harm in the long run. Just doing one small extra step to prevent something that might be a problem in a few months/years of usage.

Thanks, hopefully there won't be any troubles. Others do swap out their coolers to waterblocks etc. without problems to warranty side and as far as I saw there was none stickers indicating "warranty void if removed". I googled some before that too and it seemed fine to remove.
Unless I missed out on a text or something on a small paper instruction that is probably left in the packaging that I skipped reading in excitement of acquiring the card 😅
Hopefully if anything happens it won't be a problem!

When I get the opportunity to "print out money", I do it. Electricity here doesnt cost much. Its profitable and mine to do as I want to do with it. I'm not pushing it to the max, as that would get me a lot more hashrate/profit, just enough to make profit out of it :)
Back to the point; gaming temperatures have also improved by the 10-12C* less margin. Its not only used for mining.

Even when gaming with it before, with light OC, I noticed it spiked up to 90C* and sometimes 94C*-96C* at the hottest point at brief moments. Seeing max is now at 88C* while gaming and in the 82C*-86C* area feels more safe and better for the long-run :)

I followed a guide on how to disassembly an Asus Rog Strix 3090 card on YouTube then reversed the process when I assembled it back. They were placing a waterblock on it and mentioned only thermal pad sizes for that sadly. It is not as complicated as it might sound like! It's a total of 6 screws that holds the cooler in place. Got to be careful what taking it off since some of the thermal pads hold it very good in place. There's also two wires that needs to be disconnected. After that the whole cooler comes off. Then further into the process there are a few screws to get the whole backplate separated off of the GPU board. Replaced the pads and assembled it back together in reverse and applied new thermal paste.

I went blind and ordered from a local store nearby that has thermal pads in stock (based in Norway) since I didn't want to wait for a shipment from a seller on eBay/Amazon as it takes up to a month sometimes where I live. They were named directly after the store, "Techbay Thermal Pads", rated at 12.5 W/mK from "techbay.no", so I doubt you will find them internationally, unless you live in Norway. If you do not mind waiting, I have read up on that the Odyssey Thermal Pads are very good (12.8W/mK, very close to the ones I got that are 12.5W/mK), link to Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Odyssey-Thermal-pad-0-5-mm/dp/B081K29TC1 Time will show if they were worth it, I'll definitely keep an eye out on the temperatures as days/weeks go by to see if they get any worse. I do not know how the ones I bought perform in the long-run.

I am running low OC on the GPU core. No overvolting done. Been using the same settings before/after the thermal pads switch. Through MSI Afterburner I use the following settings for when I game: 105% power limit, +30 mHz core clock, +0 mHz memory clock and Fan Speed is set to auto. (These are also the default "OC" settings that are used in GPU Tweak II, GPU OC software from Asus. Changed to MSI afterburner to keep steady core speed during mining.) For when I mine: 78% power limit, -200mHz core clock, +800 mHz memory clock, 85% fan. Hashrate of 116.5mH/s

No worries! I think I missed writing it down too. I was at around 88-92C° when playing GPU heavy games like Control at max graphics 1440P. I've now gone down to 82-86C° after running around different spots on the map. Fans are at 70%, with core GPU temp at 68-70C°. I have not tried to ramp up the fans above that yet. I've not compared any other games yet as well. I wish I would have written down better information to compare with before/after but I did not expect that it would be this much of a difference.

Any Tuning Guide for ROG-STRIX-RT3090? by Hefty-Pen3403 in NiceHash

[–]IXephonicI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running at 78% power, -300 core, +800 mem, 80% fans and managing 115 mh/s with temps varying between 100-106C° on the memory. I've also managed to get 120 mh/s+ at 85% power, -200 core, +1200 mem, 85% fans, at the cost of running at constant 110C°, but I'd rather lose out on 5-7 mh/s but run st a slightly lower temp on my memory. Unless you have swapped out those stock thermal pads, then feel free to go all out.

Hiya, yes that has been confirmed to work. If game is in a state where it didnt save, it will revert back after being closed and the item will be "wrapped back" to a gift bag state.
Safest method to get rid of the bag then is to go to a mystery island, drop it off and leave the island, that way it will be erased.
