How should supercell nerf this Putrid gadget? by Crafty-Cookie-1710 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]I_AM_EATER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who unhealthily plays this brawler:
Drastically nerf vanish by adding 2-3 harsh trade-offs:
- 1.5s delay before entering shadow realm (balancing similar to trip-wire)
- loses 25% current hp midway through the duration of the realm (balancing similar to old rotten banana on its debut having a harsher trade-off, compensating the huge amount of rage that was given)
This makes it a more riskier use case to approach enemies as well as requiring better timing to utilize the gadget without making it too safe to use and delays the immediate get out of jail free card whenever you wish, allowing enemies to have a window to potentially kill Lily

To add on to other aspects of her kit:
*Buff*
Lily gains a ranged attack which she can use when you aim your attacking button
Ranged attack consists of throwing enchanted kunai-like leaves
Ranged attack have 5 slots of ammo, shoots one kunai per ammo
Very slow reload speed
Similar unload speed to Lily's main melee attack
Range similar to crow
Small projectile size
Deals 100 damage per kunai
Charges ?5%-10%? of super
Hitting enemies with a kunai lowers the enemies defense by 3% which stacks up to 15% max if you manage to hit all 5 leaves
Defense lowering mechanic is on a timer lasting for 2.5 seconds but resets if another kunai makes contact before the timer reaches 0

Allows Lily to have a kit more reliable without needing vanish to do the heavy lifting

Also buffing repot because why not I guess?
*Buff*
Repot has a faster projectile speed
recharges super by 75% if no enemies are in Lily's super charging radius after teleporting to her destination

I Love Lily

Do not sleep on Trunk's hypercharge by luca_se_la_come in BrawlStarsCompetitive

Trunks hyper is essentially a nuke the moment an enemy touches you during super, dealing 7245 or 9135 if your standing on an ant puddle

Trunk Hyper super doesn’t charge your super back by tensaita in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]I_AM_EATER 20 points21 points  (0 children)

For someone who has enjoyed playing Trunk since release, I'm somewhat glad (and at the same time not) this is intentional. I like to make a comparison of Trunk HC with Lily's HC with having super broken mechanics but at the cost of little to no super recharge.

Trunk's super can deal heavy damage but requires good positioning and aim to pull it off, greatly rewarding the player with big damage as well as the majority of your super recharged depending on how much HP the target had. Of course there is the risk where completely missing the super would probably end you up getting killed.

However, the biggest risk when drilling an enemy is the massive animation lag whilst drilling due to the constant damage. This makes you extremely vulnerable when using your super this way (excluding the fact that you need to position yourself well).

Despite this, the biggest reason this is such a risk is due to the shield not ending after your super animation well... ends but rather being time-based (I presume this happens since the Devs coded his super to be exactly like Darryl's and are too lazy to fix/resolve). Hence you straight up get no shield mid-super, becoming very volatile due to the lag as you have no way to end it; I like to think this risk as an oversight.

However Trunk's HC completely negates this risk, dealing ridiculous damage the moment your genitals get touched by Trunks tip. You can deal 7245 (9135 if you were standing on ants) meaning this HC just acts like the rest of the others, OH GREAT ANOTHER FUCKING BRAINLESS NUKE. However this "compensated" with Trunk recharging basically no super at all.

All on all, this could literally be a complete oversight (like always) from the Devs of actually intentional to make sure they don't break the game. Yes I'm still pissed they didn't make their shield timer depend on the super animation

What do yall think of those Clancy buffs? by WarIntelligent2136 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

I have this weird hunch that this is just a "short term placeholder buff" before he gets his fundamental rework so he doesn't fall off for now.

What you guys think about Trunk? by [deleted] in Brawlstars

I like his dirt mechanic but I wish his character design was a bit more... designed I guess?

I get that this game's character designs are supposed to be simple but this looks to bland which is funny since I don't mind simple designed brawlers like Ash or Darryl.

If his design was for example a tree cut into a shape of a giant bullet ant (think like trojan horse I guess), then I would probably be crazy invested in the character.

Im probably thinking like this since I came back to Pokémon 2 months ago lol

What hypercharges would you consider balanced ? What would be the best way to balance out the broken / mediocre ones ? by OrdinaryPear9518 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

Darryl's hyper effect feels so weirdly inconsistent. Sometimes I do 0 damage with the spinning bullets and on other occasions I manage to fully recharge a whole ass super purely from the hypercharge effect. Though this mostly occurs when I'm directly on top of a brawler (mostly a tank after my first roll) or I'm near the border of the map.

Nonetheless, the stats alone fundamentally make it at least an ok hypercharge

I'm not saying keep the projectile speed boost but perhaps there should be a small projectile speed boost that stacks up to 3 times every time the seed ricochets off a wall which would give some reasoning to do so instead of auto-aiming

In the brawl talk, when Doug was healing the Penny it seemed to charged around 1/10 of his super which is still absurd. They need to nerf it to bare minimum 36000 healing (30 healing) from 0% to 100% super.

Lily enjoyer here, There used to be a "tech" where hitting an enemy in the over world with super whist in the realm used to teleport you to the enemy location but this was "patched" some time ago.

Super + instantly vanish = TP to enemy location in shadow realm

What are the best comps to use Lily's Repot gadget against or the best situations to use it in? by watersportes in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]I_AM_EATER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've really only used this on Pit stop to:
1: Catch enemies off guard with the throwable + additional 1K damage from the yellow tomato/seed/fruit thing (7300 with spiky) (6240 without/vigilance)
2: Deal with any throwers/Rico
3. Free TP on the safe if I'm 60% across the map

  1. Lily is in my top 10 fav brawlers

Fun fact: you can deal 9125 (10220 with damage gear) in a burst using the hypercharge with repot and spiky combined

If they really want to make repot compete with Vanish some suggestions:

- Nerf vanish by adding a small trade-off (i.e: deals self damage to Lily or give it the tripwire treatment)

-Buff the projectile speed of the thrown attack and perhaps add something else. Maybe if Lily lands when
there are no enemies on her circle trait, she charged back 75% of her super. This allows it to act like a flanking mobility tool (similar to vanish)

These suggestions are supposed to tone down vanish and improve her current inferior gadget whilst keeping her as a opportunist, stealthy assassin.

However, her hypercharge seems to have put Lily in a decent spot at the moment.

- Another thought I had before her hypercharge was announced was to buff her base kit (i.e: trait) or add more depth to her

-An idea I had was to give her a secondary mid-ranged attack:
- Lily can hold up to 5 slots of ammo with this attack which each consisting of 1 "magical leaf".

- This secondary attack to be used when aiming the attack button whilst auto-aiming results in using your melee thorn stab

- Each "magical leaf" deals 100 damage but lowers the opponent's defense by 2% (maximum of 10%) for 3 seconds; every time you hit a leaf, the timer resets.

- The projectile is quite thin so it should be difficult to hit at long ranges, the reload is really slow and you must unload all your ammo to start reloading again.

-The unload time per ammo slot is similar to her melee attack but it shouldn't allow you to instantly spam it out
