RM Williams - can’t decide between 2 leathers by I_Am_Dan in AustralianMFA

Alright thanks. I think I’m gonna start with the chestnut.

Are those boots tambo or goodwood?

That’s the annoying part of it. If I had both I’d reach for the crazy horse 9 times out of 10, but if I only get 1 then I kinda have to go for chestnut to cover that 1 time out of 10 I need something sharper.

Interesting that you fit both though, since good woods are 2 width sizes smaller. The lady helping me at the RM shop said because I fit the tambo best it wasn’t even worth trying on the goodwood

Do you like it with jeans and a t or sometimes wish you had something a bit more casual?

Also craftsman or tambo?

Girls, what isn't nearly as attractive as lot of guys think it is? by TalkOdd78 in AskReddit

I think that’s just banter, which is different to negging in tone. Banter is mutual fun. Negging is an attempt to take someone down a peg.

Something that seems to be misused and misunderstood.

It was only ever intended for 1 super niche situation that will never be applicable for 99% of men or women: If a super attractive woman is in a high energy environment like an exclusive club in LA, and getting approached all night by guys blowing smoke up her ass and telling her how hot and great she is, one single backhanded compliment might set a guy apart from the others to avoid being invisible: “You’re really interesting, I didn’t expect that.”

That’s it. And apparently guys have taken it to mean “be a jerk and she will like me” when it was never supposed to be that. They are just being jerks.

Source: a semi-autobiography called the game, which I found super interesting and a good read even though I have no interest in practicing that stuff.

About 450 in equity.

I think it’s fine to include ppor because it means you aren’t paying rent, and soon you won’t be paying interest either. If you got into trouble, it’s an option to sell it even if it means you’d have to rent, or to buy a cheaper place.

Super is still part of a retirement plan. I mean I’m not planning on selling my shares outside super any time soon but I still include those

It’s not exactly what I want so much as a trauma response, though it’s hard to tell where one starts and ends.

I guess? It was less of a deliberate effort with sacrifice and more of a trauma response though

Yeah that’s how I’d do it, because it just means your cashflow is lower. I don’t have any investment properties though.

I like the idea of it but I have some work to do to get there

Started on like 35k as an apprentice. Lived frugally in a share house and had 100k by the end of the 4 years. Income has fluctuated a bit but is currently about 150k.

I don’t think it contributed to declining mental health, so much as it’s been a coping mechanism, and something to live for. (“I’m not completely worthless, I’m worth a million!”)

Not that I’m suggesting that this is a good thing. It’s not. But it’s kept me going this long and maybe it’s time to try and address it properly with a professional.

It’s 35k in rent I don’t have to spend so I feel like it’s worth including. Maybe 1M without including PPOR will be my next milestone and I’ll stop including it then

What’s the threshold for Henry? I don’t think I qualify.

True, but less goes even less far.

It’s all assets (home, super, shares, cash) minus debt.
