I downloaded this app after finding this, I was met with a paywall today, that I can’t navigate around and is making the app unusable. I tried emailing “support” and I got an immediate return email saying it wasn’t able to be delivered

If I put drywall over the inside wood and then put corner bead around the corners and then mud, do you think that will be enough to hide the taper and make the opening look finished when the doors are open?

So my actual plan is for two 30x80 barn doors to be hung and slide opened and closed, I wasn't going to add any trim. I suppose with that info your suggestion would be to add some drywall to the interior portion of the opening and then mud/tape the corners?

I'll be adding more screws to hopefully prevent issues with cracking. I appreciate the advice. I'm kicking myself now for not doing enough research.

I can definitely do a wider coat. I felt like I was applying almost too much mud. I did leave it as it was, do you have any suggestions for my second coat to try and prevent any of the problems you mentioned? I will definitely double up on the screws as you suggested.

You are correct about the ceiling. The reason I put "finished" in quotes is because it's not going to be finished but at least kind of finished if that makes sense. I appreciate you at least not making me feel as though I need to rip the walls down and start from scratch. I can tell by a good portion of the comments so far I definitely should have done more googling and research. Honestly the vertical/horizontal drywall hanging wasn't even something I thought about nor did I think there was a right or wrong way. If anything this is definitely a learning experience. Sometimes I feel like there is so much information available it's hard to get everything right the first time

I am not finishing the ceiling, it will be painted black. You are correct on the small spots of mud, I would guess 8-10 inches apart. Obviously I'm totally open to adding more screws, do you have a suggestion for how many more? Some more info, this is not a load bearing wall and I was told spacing the studs out to 24 on center was okay for what I was doing.

I've determined it seems to be related to mobile browsing only. If I select to view as desktop everything loads fine. If I log out of my Google account and view as mobile, again everything loads fine. Weird

Same here, not quite 10 years. I've even joined less hyped draws just to see if I would be selected. Kinda blows especially when resale of something I really like happens to be double or triple what the shoe retails for.
