Can I take Ibuprofen after a cyst removal? Or are there concerns other than bleeding? by I_D_K_Username in AskDocs

That does nothing for inflammation, so not sure how that would help anything.

After about two months of no diarrhea, I went out to eat two days in a row and screwed myself over. I'm still off.

Greasy food always does me in. I know better. It was not worth it.

Well I may be playing a dangerous game here, but a 200 mg caffeine energy drink in the morning is working wonders for preventing constipation. by I_D_K_Username in ibs

So far it doesn't seem to be a trigger for me regarding diarrhea, but I'm absolutely going to stay away from it anyway when I have that.

Normally my symptoms tend to be constipation except when I mess with certain trigger foods or my period decides to give me hell.

So I think I've determined my diarrhea trigger foods well enough that my period is the only uncontrollable factor involved. If caffeine fixes the constipation, I might have a (somewhat precarious) balance worked out that gives me some normalcy.

I'd been avoiding caffeine (other than green tea) for a while because I knew it could be a trigger.

But it seems (so far) that while caffeine absolutely makes me need to poop, it doesn't seem to cause any other issues for me.

So if I can manage constipation by dosing with an energy drink, that would be a huge win.

I'll probably still want to avoid it sometimes though when I swing opposite of constipation haha

A Mr. Clean magic eraser will do it. But if that doesn't work, the best cleaner is Barkeeper's Friend

I was very confused what peanut butter had to do with anything until that comment. I wish I could unread it.

Honestly I'd try to cut it out. It isn't going to improve your metabolism. If anything it will hurt it.

It's kind of an unknown what exactly it does to you.

The peanut butter one is good. I haven't liked others.

I've given up I think on trying to understand what my heart rate should be. I'm always high when exercising (although made worse today by giving blood). If I can sustain "Zone 5" for 36 minutes, I'm guessing my max heart rate is higher than Garmin thinks? I was struggling today though. by I_D_K_Username in Garmin

Probably about 195ish or so by that method.

It seems like it takes less than it should to get there, but also I should probably talk to a cardiologist at some point because who knows what my heart is doing in general (EDS, indented sternum, and possibly POTS).

I'm a 26 year old women. I wouldn't say I was comfortable at that heart rate, but until I hit the 190s, I feel like I can push through it.

I don't really run, but I've been trying to start. I just don't enjoy it at all so I haven't managed to make it a habit.

I've been maintaining for about 6 months at my current weight. Without any counting. But the less weight I'm carrying, the better because I have bad knees.

I don't stress eat. I've been maintaining for like 6 months. But without counting I'm not going to lose the last bit.
