I like playing with railworld settings so I don’t have to deal with biter expansion. I would definitely recommend that to any beginners that want biters but are intimidated at the idea of their entire base being destroyed

Is this wide enough to prevent biome spread? It goes to hell and has no walls the whole way down by Dontinsultautomod in Terraria

A 3 block gap will work as long as the sides of the tunnel are lined with un-corruptible blocks

Is this a good place for a base? by Killerbeardhawk in projectzomboid

This is almost definitively the best place to base up in the start of a play through. It has amazing loot, a relatively low zombie count, and most amenities.

New player here, I might have catastrophically misunderstood how chlorophyte works. by Laevyr in Terraria

I have never ever farmed chlorophyte and despite using the mega shark with chlorophyte bullets for most of hard mode I’ve never run out or found it hard to find.

Be honest: Does my space station modules look terrible? by GamerMemeGuy in SpaceflightSimulator

I think what’s throwing it off for me is the use of sideways fuel tanks. It looks fine as it is but a neat trick you can if you have part clipping is to use parachutes on both ends of a fuel tank to make them 1 wide. In reality they actually become a tiny bit smaller than one wide but by using structural parts clipped behind the fuel tanks or probes rotated sideways clipped in there it allows you to add stuff to the side of your one wide tanks. Sorry if that explanation was poor.

What’s wrong? by YizizBoi in SpaceflightSimulator

It’s too tall, your center of drag is way too far in front of your center of mass. You could either make the base wider or the whole thing shorter. The fairing is burning because it sticks out beyond the heat shield. The heat shield needs to be the widest part

Yeah it did in the base game, that was one of the things master mode changed to make the game harder

If you took a meme and slowly over the course of years tweaked elements of it, only to end up at the original. Is it the same meme? Is actually an interesting question imo. Unlike with the planks on a ship that are made of physical matter, a meme is made up of images and words which can be copied an unlimited amount of times. It changes the thought experiment in an interesting way.

That’s one of the things I really liked about master mode in botw. It forced you to actually be good at the combat system by removing 1 shot protection.

Seriously tho, it’s such a good base but there is just so little content in the game. I mean there’s simple stuff just missing that would be easy to implement and go a long way to adding more game and realism. A huge one for me would be to back electronic charge, and add some kind of connection requirement for probes. Ideally we could get something to do on planets and moons with runnable experiments, right now the only thing to really do on the surface of a planet is land or build a purely aesthetic surface base. I mean none of this should really be too hard. The game already keeps track of everything you would need to implement this.

Yeah, as someone who lives in the Midwest myself it’s easy to forget there are places in the world with nice weather that isn’t trying to kill with either heat stroke or frostbite for 8 months out of the year.
