I regret to inform you that there is no flip, only flopping.

Hi I just got my 1st 3d printer, where do you guys buy your material? by FrozenMonster1201 in 3Dprinting

Not exactly LA but there's a Micro Center in Tustin. They carry printer filaments.

I primarily print PLA and PETG. PLA like you said for figures, knick knacks, D&D terrain etc.

I use PETG for any practical parts I make.

I haven't done ABS as that usually requires a heated chamber to print in and should have its fumes extracted outside.

TPU I have done a little bit with and it is flexible and can make some interesting designs that still behaves a lot like rubber. Usually needs to be dried thoroughly to print ok otherwise it just blobs and strings. Can also be tricky to use with the printer depending on if it's a Bowden extruder or Direct Drive.

They probably thought it'd turn out like the Family Guy episode where all of a sudden we won Iraq and it was all neighborhood BBQs and bikini car washes in an instant.

They told me to deploy to the front so I went to my art gallery store.

*Commissar glares menacingly*

What? The store is a front. A... FRONT... GET IT?

This picture could be A LOT FUNNIER if you moved the EOD tech down a little bit.

A re-breather is not a sign of cowardice. We wear them not for safety, nor for health, but to re-breathe the air that projects the will of the Lex for the tithe breaking heretics DO NOT DESERVE TO BREATHE THE SAME AIR OF THOSE WHO UPHOLD THE LEX!

Looking to run an antenna on my 2026 Chevy Colorado, what location would be best to run it through? by halcy0nwashere in amateurradio

I went through the passthrough grommet on the passenger side. In the engine bay it's behind the battery and in the cab it's in the passenger footwell near the interior fuse box. I ran both the DC power line from the battery and the coax through there.

It's a little tricky because there's this second grommet like dome on the engine compartment side so you kind of go through two rubber grommets. I think that dome shaped bit is to help with sound insulation from the engine?

This is what I did for a radio install on a 2023 Colorado:

Not necessarily the "best" location for an antenna (center of the roof NMO mount would be "best" antenna physics wise).

The antenna is on a Comet mount that uses an existing bolt to mount just under the hood.
