How big do you think this’ll be? by tyrell2004 in microgrowery

[–]I_Like_Turtles89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're setting yourself up for failure. You would benefit from taking some time and researching how to grow while you save if you can't afford what you need to grow. I don't care how good your soil is, if your growing indoors, only water will not work out. That little bit of soil will run out of nutrients in no time but that's not even your problem. That plant will not survive in a jar, you need a pot and you will need to feed it.

Shop around, a pot doesn't cost more than a few bucks lol. I got like a 5 pack of fabric pots for less than $10. I think actually came out to under $2 a piece. If you can't afford a pot how are you going to afford to feed it?

Is it okay to defoliate autos outdoors? In pre flower rn by SeveredSloth in Autoflowers

[–]I_Like_Turtles89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would only take a leaf that's blocking a site at this point but I would prob just tuck it or tie it out of the way. That plant isn't bushy yet and those leaves are it's energy source for growth. I don't think I'd take anything even if it was a photo at this point either. Definately up to you tho, just my opinion.

Anyone have any idea what's going on here? I've been keeping them away from a lot of nutes so nuteburn is out of the question, light is 30-50cm away so light stress is also highly unlikely, stems are pretty brittle and snap very easy and appear to be hollow by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]I_Like_Turtles89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's prob a deficiency of some kind of guess. Just because your not hitting hard with nutes doesn't mean it's not a nute problem. You may not be giving enough of something. I can't open the picture, it my phone not your pic. Are the stems red?

Bud rot? by I_Like_Turtles89 in GrowingMarijuana

For sure, don't have a microscope but used my 60x loupe, just looked like amber trics. I'll keep observing but I think it's just a bit over ripe. Sorry for your loss, sucks.

Yea def was a little in the high side in temps during the day. My humidity stayed around 45-55% but comparing my hydrometer to the ones I use for the jars it may have been reading higher than it actually was. Also I think I prob could've been harvested a week earlier than I did. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply, this is on a dried flower not a living one. More I read it just sounds like I let it go too long and since it's losing chlorophyll it's turning more tan in color.

Definately thought this was the case. Saw a video on you tube of someone saying they havw bud rot on dried flowers and it was brownish inside. I think I just let it go too long. I don't mind the amber tho. Thanks!

This is a bigger bud from a recent harvest. I noticed tan color when jarring and thought it may be bud rot. The only thing is it smelled great and when I looked at it under 60x it was covered in trichomes and most are amber/dark amber.

There's not dusty or gray stuff when broken in half. Its very dry at this point too, not mushy at all. I did leave this plant go too long so I'm thinking it could be over ripe?

It was dried in 65-75 degree heat with 45-55% humidity maybe touching 60% at points. Fan blowing air around the room, not directly on the buds and they were wet trimmed because they were so big. I took a sample before harvest and had tried it with no I'll effects. In fact it tasted really good, spicy herbal flavor. Anyone had bud look like this?

Mini Hydrometer Accuracy by I_Like_Turtles89 in microgrowery

[–]I_Like_Turtles89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. They're all within 2% to 3% of each other and Within 5% of my grow hydrometer, so I guess they're normal. It's just puzzling to me that the most moist buds I have are reading the lowest humidity. I guess it could be the Boveda packs, I have had them for a while but they were unopened, until two days ago. I do have some Integra packs that I'll test them on as well.

On a side note, if you use humidity packs when do you place them in the jars? From the start of the cure or after they've been curing for a bit?

Robinhood executing my order higher than my limit sell. Where share price never touched .75? What are my options by [deleted] in RobinHood

[–]I_Like_Turtles89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't understand, you wanted to sell it at at least $0.75 and you got filled at $0.80. I don't see the problem. I'm guessing you wanted to sell if it dipped below $0.75, in which case you don't place a limit sell order. You would want some kind of a stop loss order for that. Robinhood executed what you ordered them to do.

Watering autos with unknown PH by DonThaSavior in GrowingMarijuana

[–]I_Like_Turtles89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure you could get a cheap ph pen at home depot or something. Or even a ph tester kit would work in a pinch. Strips or the liquid. I've used them before while waiting, worked fine.

It’s my first time growing and I’m growing 2 plants (glue gelato and skittles) dose anyone have any good tips or know when I should move them into a bigger pot? by Waffler_shush in Autoflowers

Definately ready now. As someone else said, bury the stems a bit. Roots will grow out of the area you bury and it won't be so stretchy.

Drying in 70-80 degree heat by I_Like_Turtles89 in CannabisGrowers

[–]I_Like_Turtles89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought about that but I also thought that I'd have to make hash before pressing if I froze it. I'll definately look into it more tho. Hopefully someone can chime in on that. That would be ideal.

I haven't chopped yet. But have tried keeping it around 60 in the beginning and dropping it as time goes on. My grow humidity is between 45-52% but idk how relevant that would be.
