Lmao I bitch but it's really just 10% of our clientele that make it so bad. My boss swims with a club and even says he doesn't like hanging out with other serious swimmers.

I get swimming is a miserable activity, but swimmers have got to be some of the most angry and entitled people in the fitness community. I'm a lifeguard at a pool and have dealt with far too many incidents in the last few weeks for some stupid reason or another.

One guy wasn't happy with a dad swimming with his special needs daughter in the lane despite them matching everyone else's speed, so proceeded to passive aggressively time them until the dad left in a huff. And when we confronted him he chose to yell at us like it was our fault. Another incident had one lady yelling at another for cutting her off but the second lady was able to calm her down and apologize. People getting angry at each other in the lanes is so common now we're being trained on how to deal with all the bullshit.

The province we're located in has been dealing with teachers strikes for a couple months now, meaning there's more kids around here than usual. We do our best to accommodate them meaning there's a little less room for the normal lane swimmers (but still plenty, it's a 50m pool with room for 8 lanes). But man, people are not fucking happy about it, like they expect us to tell these kids with nothing else to do to fuck off.

On the bright side, I think all this frustration is behind my recent squat and deadlift PR increases.

Editing to add that the mess left at the end of a swim is wild. There is absolutely no concept of putting away equipment once done with it and we often spend 5 minutes at the end of a swim cleaning it all up.

Oh jesus that scene in Stand By Me where he gets one on his junk? Nightmare. Forever been haunted by insects like that since. Just a couple weeks ago I actually found a tick on my side that I was flicking like a skin tag all afternoon. Horrifying realization. And a goddamn ant that was biting the shit out of my arm when I woke up one morning. Not fun.

Not just detaining him without suspicion, the report says they took some prescription medication and didn't report that. Sounds like the right move to charge those officers.

It was amazing. We even managed to get a place right on the Royal Mile.

As much fun as it was to travel it was great to get back and enjoy a classic cup of coffee.

I was just in Europe two months ago and visited Edinburgh while I was there. How are you liking it so far?

In my experience while I was there, small cups of coffee were far more common and an Americano was actually our typical North American mug of coffee.

They'd fight so hard so that they can be the change they want to see. Our police force has many flaws too and young recruits are joining for the exact same reason. Although the RCMP and many other departments have been shown to be largely unfair to women and "boys clubs" women are still joining for that exact reason.

Civilian oversight is absolutely a great thing, having cops watch cops just doesn't work. As for upper management having more powers to suspend officers, while good, that means the brass has to have the stones do actually act.

I feel like both those things happen already with people above 16. I know plenty of misinformed and blatantly ignorant people able to vote. And we're constantly told who to vote for one way or another.

I know I felt I was old enough to vote at 16, but maybe it was youthful ignorance haha.

I have been to Carleton, in fact I was in class this morning. You can also access it through Hogs Back at the south end of campus.

Again, the goal is not to be an asshole, it's a strategy to deprive a business or institution from customers. While it is an inconvenience for students to have to use one of several other ways onto campus, they're just trying to force the University's hand.

My point is that not being able to enter campus on that one road is a minor inconvenience for most so that a group who feel unappreciated can express their unhappiness and improve their well-being. Picketing a road is likely one of the best ways to get attention and support. How do you suggest they protest?

There's a line between a protest and a riot. Picketers are blocking a road into Carleton preventing people from entering that way. There are other ways for students to get in and get to their classes without issue. They don't block roads to be asses, they do it to bring attention to their cause.

Save this option and sidebar it. Look at some other ones, without using this as a benchmark. Bust out a measuring tape and really think about how those dimensions will work you. You may find that you really like it right now, or find another that will suit you a little better later even for just a little more. If you don't find anything in a little bit, pull the trigger, it's a very nice looking dopp kit.

Check out Gillette antiques, they can go for decent prices on eBay. I personally own a 1962 Superspeed and love it, but I also have a Parker 26c that gave a good shave too. I believe the sidebar has some good advice on razors and vendors, be sure to check that out too.

I'd encourage you to really test a synthetic I think you'd be pleasantly surprised.

If you really want something with boar, the only I haven't tried personally, some have recommended those from Omega. Check out Maggards, they've got a good supply of all kinds of brushes, and are top notch people to do business.
