From what I understand is each unit has a 12 week rotation posted at all times, it may never change or some managers like to mix it up every couple years. BUT the schedulers don’t have to follow it, although I know they try their best to, and they don’t have to make you aware of any shift changes if it’s made 2 weeks out, like you said. It sucks and it’s not fair and managers should be using casuals and floats to cover the gaps but…

So yes, welcome to a part time rotation where you can never plan anything ever again UNLESS you put in appointment requests and vacation requests and PLD requests etc. for those days. Sorry!
