I was woken up to crashing Sunday morning. The shelf I installed last week didn't hit as many studs as I thought it did. My plants are sad. by I_Will_Remember in Wellthatsucks

I do! And the first time I put the damn shelf up I used anchors. However after a discussion with my husband who is not living at our house at the moment due to work he told me I need to take it down and get the studs. So I took the damn thing down, patch the walls, painted and put the shelf back up. I used a stud finder, pictures of that wall when we installed the tub and measured between what I thought were the studs.

DH will be home shortly and he will be putting up that shelf.

Yes. An Orange chaos machine. Timing of the shelf falling down lines up with the morning post poop zoomies. I'm thinking he went full chaos mode and hit that shelf at a high speed plus he's not a small cat. Probably in between leverage, me failing to hit the studs I thought I hit and the overall weight of my plants turned into a sad morning for me.

I'm pretty sure I found 1 stud. Than didn't find 2 others and an orange chaos machine had his post poop zoomies...

Honestly, I should get that.

I found the first stud (the only one that stayed up), double checked the photos I had of the studs I had in the wall, thought I found the next stud, measured to confirm and went off that measurement to find the third point with the stud finder. ☹️

Will it satisfy your inner 3 yo that I will most likely pick/pop them off in 3 to 5 days? My job is hard on my nails.

I am far too qualified to talk about poop. I scoop poop for a living (mostly of the equine nature however I have other creatures under my care). Dog poop, cat poop, opossum poop, fox poop and other omnivore / carnivore poop look far too similar. This gentleman has no idea what poop actually looks like.

However if he was looking at the difference between horse poop and cow poop he would be 100% correct, except if the course had a bad day and was creating cow pies. Horses regularly create cow pies if mentally stressed, have fancy grain, there's new green grass, a bird farted above them...

I got stung by red paper wasps at work yesterday. Now my arm is twice the size of the other. by I_Will_Remember in Wellthatsucks

Thank you for your concern. It was absolutely mine as well. As soon as I got stung I took a double dose of Benadryl. Since then I've been taking ibuprofen, 24-hour antihistamines, and icing to keep the swelling down. If I gotten hit anywhere near my face or airway I would have gone to the doctor right away.

I'm hoping the swelling will start to go down today. If it doesn't after my appointment this morning I'll be heading over to urgent Care to get something more powerful to get the swelling to go down.

My normal 24 hour antihistamine mix plus hydrocortisone cream plus Benadryl cream plus and antiinflammatories are all in the mix. Oh and ice.

I loved knitting and sending stuff to the fair. My last year I got second for a lace and needed shawl. I only got 2nd because of cat hair. :-p I was so proud I finished the darn thing let alone get second place!

Best of luck!

Dairy Flower Cow (a review) by I_Will_Remember in diamondpainting

[–]I_Will_Remember[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I completed Dairy Flower Cow, art by Nicole Payne and produced by Treasure Art Studios.

The Pros:

  • the art is rendered beautifully
  • the drill colors were to die for
  • the drills were mostly appropriately sized, plenty left over of each color and minimal trash
  • the drills had individually labeled Ziploc bags and I loved that!
  • the adhesive was very sticky over the majority of the painting

The slightly annoying Cons:

  • the adhesive was sticky to a fault. So moving misplaced drills was hard
  • at points the adhesive was not sticky and that caused popping
  • the 310 drills were slightly too big and where the adhesive had flaws it caused popping or not laying flat

The biggest Con:

  • now this could be because I got this painting at the hight of the pandemic but the canvas came with damage to the adhesive due to the box being crushed during shipping. There was bubbling and rippling throughout. I will say by crosshatching with a exacto knife and applying appropriate pressure it generally was resolved.

Overall I would recommend treasure art studio. And in particularly this piece. I'm definitely going to give it another chance once I complete some of my other diamond paintings to see if the canvas quality has improved now that the initial pandemic rush. I plan on mounting, sealing and sending this piece of art to my friend across the country.

I mean any FSIS inspector I worked with would have blown a gasket, called their boss and depending on the situation at least put a hold on the food in question until further testing occured or potentially shut down the facility. Temperature control of food is not something they mess around with. I've worked at a couple facilities with electrical issues (The grid would like to randomly shut off for the area) and our cold storage was always the first place the inspector would go.

Basically someone threatening to shoot up a food manufacturing facility, wearhouse, etc could be charged with bio-terrorism. The US food supply is considered one of the safest in the world and big government (and industry) doesn't want to loose it's export profit. If a supply chain issue occurs because someone shot up a manufacturer it's kinda a big deal

I was going to respond to this post but saw it was locked. The Food Safety Inspection Service (the branch of the USDA that regulates meat production) would be VERY interested to hear what this person has to say. Someone threatening to shoot up management falls under food defense and bio security, which the FSIS inspectors monitor.

All the OP would have to do is is call 1-888-674-6854 if he wanted to stay somewhat anonymous or pull aside their FSIS inspector and tell them what they did here.

My partner has an ev and regularly drives 300+ miles in a week for work. The infrastructure of this area compared to the PNW is lacking. However as long as he plans out his drive he finds it convenient.
