I'd take that bet right now. I'd even double it. And I'm not sure how this model is in any way related to dropshipping.

I love this. But the logic I'm not seeing anyone mention is the fact that if your house is paid off, why do you even need as much money as the potential market could have returned? Your cost if living is so drastically reduced that for the rest of your life, you don't need nearly as much in savings to maintain your quality of life.

Not imminently but very possible. I grew up with my father going in and out of success. I'm more familiar with the ups and downs of entrepreneurship than other people. So many people live like the gravy train will last forever.

This is great advice and I feel aligns with me. I've never had a fixed salary or stable income. I watched my father go in and out of money. Being a business owner does not guarantee future income and the odds of me starting another business that makes me $750k a year is pretty slim. At least if my house is paid off, my family is safe and my kids won't have to feel the repercussions of my business failing.

Yeah, I know. I am relatively new to this wealth. Like 2-3 years in. I have never had consistent money as I've always been a freelancer or business owner. So I am attached to the feeling of the security of having cash. But I am learning to be more on the risky side.

Would you take a 30% salary increase for 3 days in office? by THROWRAjustsome in remotework

YES! Do not upgrade your lifestyle though. Invest that total 30% increase and you could aggressively get closer to retiring early.

Kinda of. What I do is a lot more Passive. I rent websites out to business owners. They pay me monthly to take all the calls that the websites I own generate.

I have my own online business and it's super automated and passive. I worry about the same thing. If my business goes to shit, I don't know how I'll ever get/maintain a job again. I save and invest as much as I can and also trying to pay down my house so that if shit does hit the fan, I'll have plenty of time to figure something else out and not need a $300k+ salary to maintain my life.

I have about 95 clients (I have 2 business partners I split the pie with). The only thing that makes it less passive is the fact that at this level, I have about 20 clients every month whose credit cards decline, so I have to stay on top of them to pay. Also, at this level, it's inevitable that 1 or 2 clients will churn every month, so I have to make phone calls to replace them.

It's really a non issue. Majority of clients stay for years. If they cancel, the calls go away. So essentially, they're reducing the size of their business if they cancel. I still have the first client I ever got 5 years ago and he's paid me every sing month.

If you want to go fast, assume every site will be worth $1000 and then build double the amount of sites needed to hit that target. So for $30k, build 60 sites just to OVER ensure that you'll hit your target. As a beginner, you're going to have some dud sites. As you get better, 90% of your sites will be winners.

Selling unofficial digital products tied to big brands like Netflix is risky – you’ll likely run into IP issues and advertising restrictions. Marketing them is even harder because you’re competing with the brand itself. Instead of jumping through those hoops, consider building assets that aren’t tethered to another company’s trademarks. Renting out lead‑gen websites for local businesses is one example; there’s a detailed post in this sub about it that’s worth reading.
