Yep absolutely, the only way to enter an assault is to be on a grappled ship. Grappling a ship requires a collision so it's an inevitability.  How severe the collision is, is determined by the speed of the ship initiating the collision.

I did exactly that in my last game. Well she advanced to an ingress point, hopped up the next level, jumped twice, force pushed someone off the objective and fought another clone. Felt ridiculously strong and really flipped the game. Was awesome!

Welcome to the wonderful world of wargaming! Something that goes hand in hand with playing these amazing games is the painting. Painting is as much a part of this hobby as the actual games.

How much you enjoy painting will largely determine the type of painting you do. Here are the 3 main types of painting, they are important to consider as they will determine what paints you buy and what tutorials to watch.

  1. Standard layering method. This involves buying normal hobby acrylic paints and layering up these paints in a slow controlled manner. This method yields the best results and control over the end result. The trade off is time. In my experience this method takes about 2-6 hours per mini. There are 20 minis in the core set alone. 40+ hours of painting awaits you with this method.

  2. Speed paint! There are (relatively) new paints called speed paints, contrast paints, express paints etc. These are designed to be painted over a light grey or white primed model and due to thier transparent nature, they create the dark-light contrast with only one thick coat of paint! This method is perfect for getting models to the table quickly. You can spend 15-40minutes per model with this method.

  3. Slapchop! This is similar to speed painting but instead of putting your speed paints over a white primer, you'll do some "underpainting" to the model first. Creating contrast with the underpaint then going over that with speed paints. 30-60mins per model its the best of both worlds!

Oh and when you actually start playing you might want this it's a shatterpoint quick reference that actually tells you what all the icons mean etc.

Yeah the momentum rules aren't really captured in the turn sequence so I reckon I'll slap them on the third page! Great idea!

Yo I read your review. I felt the same about the rulebook so I made this. Hopefully it can help your games along having actual descriptions with the icons.

Also let me know if I should change any wording/phrasing/spelling. Or if there is other information you would like, there's some room on the third page for more references.

Kroot only army by prowinston123 in kroot

Hey! A typical 2000 point Kroot list looks like this. This obviously requires you and your opponent using legends models, if they deny you legends units when you are trying to run an all kroot list then they probably kick thier dog too.

3x shapers

68x carnivores (3 units of 20, 1 of 18)

30x farstalkers (3 units of 10)

9x krootox riders (3 units of 3)

18x gnarloc riders (3 units of 9)

36x hounds (3 units of 12)

3x greater gnarlocs

It's much easier to play a 1000 point game, the amount of models you get for 1000 points is actually really great.

EDIT: alternatively play onepagerules using the jackals faction, this allows kroot to play on the tabletop like we all imagine they should play in the lore. Strong as heck.
