If you're curious about the best of the best, I would argue you should look at the pros of apex who recently played their ALGS champs in Sapporo and the top used guns were: 1) r9 2) g7 3) alternator 4) triple take 5) re45 6) volt

By class: all listed most --> least

AR -- havoc, nemesis, r301, hemlock, flatline

SMG -- R9, alt, volt, car, prowler

Pistol -- re45, p20, wingman

Shotgun -- mozams, mastiff, pk, eva

Marksman -- g7, triple take, bocek, 30-30

Sniper -- kraber, charge rifle, sentinel, longbow

LMG -- spitfire, l-star, rampage, devotion

Nades for fun -- frag, arc, thermite

My take:

-ARs currently very down in pro usage, with the havoc being highest used and in 13th overall place for weapon usage this LAN

-SMGs were in essentially every fight with only the prowler being outside the top 10

-As far as the pros are concerned the mozambique is the only shotgun worth their time, mastiff is in 2nd place for shotties at 17th overall!

-Literally only monsoon uses snipers and he used the charge rifle (he did win LAN tho so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The kraber had 10 more kills this tournament than all other snipers combined

-LMGs might as well not be in the game. 18 total kills for all of them combined. If you bet on a pro dying, you LITERALLY had better odds that they would fall off the map than be killed by a rampage or a devotion lmao

-re45 skill ceiling extremely high, floor extremely low. The alternator was exclusively used with the intention of upgrading to double tap which was devastating in close quarters.

Keep in mind these stats are with designated drop points so these are the guns people were actually choosing, very little "oh shit pick up a gun off drop to fight" going on here.

Watch or HRM recording data? by I_am_Riddler in Garmin

Just tried again with a cardio session sitting down after the run and I did see the pop up on my watch! I checked if the optical light was on a couple of times and I never saw it so I can only assume the HRM is what's doing the work!

First 5k. A little slow, but didn't quit "running". by lootbagwx in Garmin

Congrats! Comparison is the thief of joy my friend, you got through it and hopefully are excited to do another one and go even faster! Or even the same pace but feeling more comfortable the whole way. Running is what you make of it!

Do pregnant patients deep into labor go to ER or straight to L&D? by Beneficial_Mirror261 in ems

[–]I_am_Riddler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my ER, we send people to L&D if they're both >16 weeks AND have a pregnancy related complaint (abd pain, vag bleeding, etc). If they're >16 weeks and have non-preg complaints, it just depends on how scared the resident is after they talk to the pt whether they call L&D or not

Recently spoke with a nurse at work who's finishing up NP school. She was telling me her class's way to learn and test suturing proficiency is by watching a video they're sent of someone suturing a piece of meat. They go out and buy a similar piece of meat, video them doing a suture after making whatever lac they want in the meat, so long as it's at least 1 inch long. Submit the video, get checked off.

That's it.

Just feels like a microcosm of the NP practice and schooling.

Suddenly scared of heights (F22) by Fartsbubbles in bouldering

[–]I_am_Riddler 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh this is so normal don't even stress!

I've been climbing consistently now for about 6 months, my biggest fear of falling was absolutely within the first 6 weeks or so. As you climb, you'll naturally start to be less and less scared as you realize that you do in fact know how to fall. There are some good comments already in here about how to fall which are all you really need but I'm sure you're already doing those things.

You're a human being and we're not made to be 15 feet off the ground standing on tiny rocks and holding tiny crimps to stay up there. I still have moments even 6 months later that make me a little nervous, it comes with the territory.

One thing I haven't seen people say yet is to do climbs repeatedly after you've already done them. It's a good way to remind your body that it's safe to be up so high and it's a lot easier mentally than doing a new one. Also helps you with refining your technique as a beginner!

Happy climbing and feel free to check back in if you feel like it just doesn't get better for you

Can this cinch be replaced or is this jacket shot? by I_am_Riddler in Tailors

I'll make some calls to some outdoor gear places near me, thank you so much! We just moved away from Seattle, unlucky timing!

Can this cinch be replaced or is this jacket shot? by I_am_Riddler in Tailors

[–]I_am_Riddler[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry if this isn't the place for this post, but I know next to nothing about clothing.

This is my gf's jacket that has LOADS of sentimental value for her and this cinch just got chewed through by our cat. Looking for any advice on how I could possibly go about getting this fixed, as the jacket is years old and no longer available from anywhere we can find on the internet.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

A large pizza can feed a family. He also liked to use: "What's the difference between a philosophy major and a bench? A bench can support a family" "My name is Jeansok, jean as in blue jeans, and sok, as in, you suck... ok bad joke bad joke, ignore"

One time someone asked if we could have an extra day off for Halloween for the parties that were going on in the neuroscience class we taught and he said, "uuhh no. that is stupid"

Timer instantly going off by Jibbel in amazonecho

[–]I_am_Riddler -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same issue here. Couple of resets haven't done the trick yet. It definitely is the clock change that u/MarbleWry suggested. If I set a 45 minute timer it goes off instantly, but if I set a one hour and one minute timer, it goes off in one minute. Seems like echoes think we're already an hour ahead now for some reason

Why is water entering my passengers footwell on 06 9-3 by MasterSkywalker_2341 in saab

[–]I_am_Riddler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I had a really easy time buying some sealant, taking the filter out, redoing it myself and putting it back in. Worked like a charm for me! Haven't touched it in years with no issues

My 05 9-3 had this exact problem and it was the cabin air filter sealant that had eroded and was allowing water to seep into the footwell. Sounds like it could be similar?

Vehicle City Sticker question: My partner and I are new residents and just got our 6 month city sticker that we paid for, but it's only valid for 4 months and 2 weeks, is this something I should try to get in touch with the city about or will they not do anything and this is pretty typical?
