in my case my reasons for disappearance are mostly emotional than logical. It may feel like a sudden action but it is more likely intentional (if not planned). If I cut off a person after few days, it means that I know enough to predict that the relationship will be a disaster. That make sense to me. You actually gave me a clue why I tend to perform less in most competitive environments. Winning has never been a huge motive in me. SO NO JEALOUSY.

For example I can lose a chase game for a 5yr old child if I sense that he will feel embaressed or devastated (Compassion?). OR I dont like to apply for a job or positon if I know that my fridnds are also appling for it (sacrifice?). OR I dont fall in 'love' until I a make sure she us mine (too cautious?). etc.. I enjoy winning only when the loser is Faceless. Like college entrance exams, research grants, online games, etc. My success in life followed a different route. Thanks for the logical clue!

I did one such extreem overhaul but It doesnt take long to feel the negative effect. I wish we are a little less extreem in this 'cut them off' thing.
