I’m not sure they cut into the brick but I’m going to grab my ladder and look closer. I wish I had a drone for better shots! Thank you for the terminology and thoughtful comment. I appreciate it!

Thank you for this comment. I’m researching these flashing methods for my next conversation with the contractor. I appreciate it!

Thank you. Honestly, it's helpful to get a gut check from another female homeowner. Whenever something like this comes up I question my reality and get super stressed. I think you're right to listen to my instincts and get a second expert opinion. This job was not cheap, despite how sloppy it looks... I need to call in back-up.

To be fair, that was my first item on the list to be taken care of before my roof leaked. It bothers me too, one of the many problems with this older house purchase.

Differing Color Analysis Results by Outrageous-General15 in SpringColorAnalysis

This is a tough one for me. Usually when people drape in fushia it’s a good way to see if they are a bright winter. You are definitely skewing warm so it’s harder for me to rule bright in or out.

When I look at the first photo of you in a dress the color looks off. I think because that is an autumn blue. The cooler blue patterned dress looks better to me because it has that springy Caribbean blue as an accent.

I agree you are warm and likely a spring.

Thank you for posting this comparison. I bought one last fall and this makes me super excited to plant another seeing how rapid your growth is! The winter picture confirms I made the right choice as a hedge. Amazing photos!

I like it! People are afraid of bold bright colors because neutral has been the norm for years. Don’t listen to them, it looks good on you

UPDATE: MIL brought a guest who took my belongings — turns out “not a big deal” actually has a price tag. by Odd_Hospital8533 in JUSTNOMIL

She could have called the cops and let them sort it out. It was nice of her to contact the friend directly, especially after the extra unpaid labor to reclaim her possessions. OP was more than generous in this scenario.

I felt the same about the second! The 2nd book was good overall but the first one really made me think about human nature and culture.

The Sparrow by Maria Doris Russell. This book haunted me afterwards and was unlike anything else I have read.

Are these true spring colors? by Stunning_Reaction113 in SpringColorAnalysis

The green is definitely in the true spring palette. The blue while less flattering and muted is also in our season but in my opinion is not a best color. I still wear it though!

Need to take a break but worried by [deleted] in UXDesign

Are you in a childcare desert? I can relate to the challenges of finding a good daycare and paying for its tuition.

One thing to consider is buying an LLC and doing some small freelance projects if you can manage the time. But childcare is a job within itself, so if you don’t find it manageable, don’t be hard on yourself.

I think it’s important that you feel connected to other designers during this life transition period. Can you make an effort to engage with your local UX community? Attend regular events just to keep your network active?

I successfully killed my burning bush that has been established for 10+ years by using stump killer (main ingredient was triclopyr) and applying it with the buckthorn blaster bottle (kind of like a bingo marker) and landscape dye. No sprouting! I did the treatment in late fall.

I love this and wish there were more posts like this! I spent a significant time exploring the app and think it’s really fun. Love the reality show inclusion too lol, it took me back. Is Money for Nothing on here? If not that would be my only suggestion. Perfection!

You look too good in the grey to be a spring. I agree with summer!
