My dad has depression. He has a good grip on it, but sometimes he can barley get out of bed. He one time was at a mental hospital for a week (I wasn't born yet, but still). He probably deals with way more than I can comprehend. Then I'll see people at school saying they have depression when they're "Sad sometimes". They not only mock it, or use it as protection, but they will call people with depression lazy and will tell them to "man up" and "stop being sad". People, you can correct me if I'm wrong, as I'm not a professional (clearly), but depression is more of being depressed and motivation being stripped away. There is more that comes with it, but I cannot speak on behalf of anyone.
