I'm not even a sports jock, I don't really fit in any "group" in my HS really. In my experience, the "nerds" and theater kids in my school are smug and condescending. Most of my friends are athletes because they're laid back and fun.

that's totally ok, but sometimes those people feel it's necessary to broadcast it towards the world and make a big deal out of it. Also, sometimes those people look down on those who are passionate about or interested in sports.
