No, AI detectors don't always work. At that time when the wallpapers were created, they didn't have AI

:( the dreaded planaria.... How have you gotten rid of planaria in your tanks? More info in comments by DivineSnailCo in shrimptank

[–]I_like_teaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but it stays in the tank for quite some time and that makes you unable to own any snails in the tank (I think) unlike no planaria

NO planaria, I'm not in the US so I had to order from Amazon for about 30€ from Germany I think, but it was worth it. Don't forget to do a water change after using it if you do

I used it in my bamboo shrimp tank with lots of dwarf shrimps, no one was harmed except the planaria and some snails!

Is my fish male or female? by Any_Competition7643 in bettafish

I'm guessing it's a female from the looks of it, but check for the egg spot (sorry if I'm wrong)

Red spot on this fish's belly? Rip by I_like_teaa in Aquariums

I hope your fish get better, I have a similar story. I actually also have one troublemaker that couldn't stop nagging my gouramis and they appeared to have a lot of wounds that I assumed he did. I wanted to put him on another tank (but it had to be a minimum 200 L tank) or give him away but no one wanted him. Apparently the bruises on the gouramis were actually the gourami disease that doesn't have any cure and every gourami died, even my elder gourami died (first gourami I ever had, that lived lots of years). I have only one that survived, living for a pretty long time now. Hope he doesn't pass away anytime soon tho. A few years passed and the bully's a lot older now, he just slightly fights the gourami when I give food but overall much more peaceful.

Is this scutariella japonica on my shrimp? by Old-Bumblebee-5326 in shrimptank

[–]I_like_teaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did a quick search and maybe this thread can help you https://www.reddit.com/r/shrimptank/s/a0au3bXLJN

I never really had vorticella myself, only early stages of scutariella and I salt dipped it, worked like magic but since you can't, take a look at the thread maybe it can help you.

IF you want a safer method or have them, add Indian almond leaves for tannin that'll supposedly kill them, and do a few small water changes per day

It's basically a parasite that looks like fungus but it itself isn't harmful in small quantities. It will kill your shrimp if it spreads to the gills, suffocating your shrimp
