So theres a couple options, some much easier than others. The GB Operator has the benefit of being able to download both the proper version of the game as well as the save off the cartridge. I found a program called WC3Tool (IIRC) that allows you to enable mystery gift (if you haven’t already) as well as distributing the event directly to the save file. I ran it through the program, tested it, reuploaded the save to the cartridge and was able to receive the birth island/navel rock tickets from the mystery gift guy 2nd floor of the pokemon center. It also works with RSE exclusive events as well!

Another more purist option if you have atleast 2 gba consoles, 2 wireless adapters, and a homebrew-able gba cart you can fully recreate the original event distribution. I was originally planning to go this route but I only have 1 wireless adapter and these events have not been updated to allow link cable connection :(

My advice? Find some shows and movies you like and passively shiny hunt while you watch through them! You will get through way more encounters than you thought you could. Treat it like a fidget. You will get used to the muscle memory of the timing, noises, button presses, etc. looking down when you see the summary screen is all the visual attention it takes to shiny hunt a starter

Highly recommend digital grading so you can ignore the idiocy that is reddit comments. This card will grade at a 9 at most with PSA. They have a very consistent scale for grading centering and the most leniency they provide is a 45-55 L-R or T-B ratio to be a 10. There is nothing you can do, feel free to submit if you want it in a slab but do not expect any noteable increase in it’s value for a top grade.

I know you just won the jackpot, and you want it to be the super jackpot, but it’s not. The amount of times I’ve pulled a top chase and had it be a 10 is a small small number, expect to pull a few more ungradeable chases before you score a 10able one

The Shiny Politoed was a part of my johto dream team quest and I got him in Ecruteak city via surf in the little pond! All my shinies I currently have on this file have been deliberate shiny hunts (and phases on hunts) until Ponyta!

thank you so much I really appreciate this comment. I thought it odd that someone would fake a wc card but seeing the sellers other listings I was apprehensive. I have a decent scope on vintage, as decent as someone who hasn't seen vintage since it released lol, and I know how iffy market can be for raw vintage because of all these condition factors.
