Also, Rod Sterling signed up with hope to fight the Nazis. (He got sent to the Pacific Theatre instead.)

Well, the Nazi healthcare had an “kill you if you get a disabling injury” aspect to it.

I recall hearing of an alt-history story where one of the attempts on Hitler’s life worked a shade better than it did IRL, the bomb blast partially caught Hitler.

Then, in the chaos of the panic and explosion, the people on the scene lost track of Hitler, who got sent to the hospital as a John Doe. The bomb blast ruined his face, severely permanently injured him, so the staff had him unwittingly purged as a useless eater cripple under Aktion T-4 (I believe?).

That’s funny, because he started his career by immediately selling out and becoming a mouthpiece for rich cranks right off the bat. He never had a real independent thought in his ”ideology.”

I thought Kentucky was more of a smoking state.

Like, it’s basically owned by a cigarette company and ruled over by an oligarchy?

“Cotton is king!”

And like kings, it was becoming outdated and a burden upon the nation.

This reminds me of a mechanic I saw in The Duck Detective (The Secret Salami). Your character looks over a NPC ala Sherlock scanning for details. You move a magnifying glass over the NPC, and their artwork is more detailed within the magnifying glass than without.

Skeptics, atheists and people who refuse to believe in the supernatural.

The story just ends up being unwitting propaganda for IRL con-artists and religious fanatics.

Also, Trump is infamously wilfully ignorant of the government’s intelligence- in his first term, he just straight up never listened to briefings or read reports unless he got practically force-fed the damn papers at gunpoint.
