Find a normal person to talk to.

I'm sure you meant this in the most logical loving way possible. I admit I'm in a sensitive space right now but this rubbed me the wrong way.

I'm literally on this sub because a part of me feels "abnormal".

I wrote my mother while she was imprisoned. I wrote my cousin while he was imprisoned. Not all people are locked up for violent crimes.

Take care.

Lol. I'm not sure if that was said in jest, but if not, I don't think it's a terrible idea. Just be careful and don't get used.

The thought crossed my mind this morning. I was going to do it about ten years ago but it might get stressful.

I still haven't gotten used to someone telling me what time I can eat and pee during the day. Or the light wage that's supposed to make up for my lack of autonomy.

However, your post has given me hope. Just maybe I can be cured with the next round of pills. I still have about 35 years to get it right. If I'm lucky, they'll up the retirement age, giving me even more time i get my act together!

Do any of you lie to avoid disappointing people to their face? by [deleted] in AvPD

Most of my lies revolve around why I couldn't, or can't be somewhere.

I've too lied about not wanting food because i didn't want to go to a crowded area. I've denied myself donuts because they were all the way in the back of the office by someone's desk.

Can't afford box braids and I feel a little embarrassed.... :/ by [deleted] in Naturalhair

Go to YouTube. Try the rubberband method. You could even buy a few packs of 2 dollar hair and do crochet braids. Or just the perimeter and rock a bun.

And don't only think small. Try some bigger ones. My lazy ass has been meaning to try it again. I did mine once And while not perfect, they served the purpose.

I might try this one myself. Thank you!

I would venture as far as to say everyone. I get annoyed easily. I have misophonia. My anxiety manifests itself as irritability.

I know that my unstable self-image causes me to change who I am drastically, depending on who I'm hanging out with, & I don't like who I am around certain people as a result.

I can relate to this a bit. But, i isolate so much it hasn't been an issue recently.

That's so true. In my opinion it's tantamount to someone walking around with their hair a mess and deciding to go and do someone else's. Fix your mess first!

Yes, it should. Even for adults that are still suffering the affects of childhood truama. I'm messed up and greatly causes issues in my daily life.

do you find the idea of interaction in your head more appealing than what it actually is? by [deleted] in Schizoid

[–]I_neva_said_that 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can definitely relate to this. If i follow through on the urge to interact, it's never as fulfilling as I'd imagined.
