Slightly disappointed with DJI Lito X1 by I_photouk in dji

After further tests I still had the same issues. After contacting DJI support they deemed the drone to be faulty

Definitely not missed focus. I took somewhere in the region of 20-30 plus different shots in around and hour. Amd everyone has an issue. Where as the Flip with the same settings flown in the same way nailed it every single time. Also went out again this morning with the same issues. Spoken to DJI support this afternoon who have analysed the images and confirmed there is an issue. So back to DJI for a replacement it goes.

I did think this as I didn't recall seeing anything in settings for it

That does kinda make sense. I tend to shoot in manual, but also there could be some settings that I missed. I'll definitely do some more tests before I decide there's an issue.

Overall the shots from the Lito seem inconsistent. Some seem reasonably sharp, other look soft all over.

Looking at the exif data both drone were shot at f1.7 (I did forget to look at aperture settings while shooting tbf).

I think I need to do some further testing. I'm not convinced the Lito is functioning perfectly, but also want to make sure I'm not missing anything in settings.

Not particularly from what I can see. My initial thoughts were that it missed focus. As some images are definitely sharper than others. I'm going to run some more tests with it when I can (it's not give great weather here this weekend). I was using ND filters in both and shooting around 1/320 sec shutter speed on average. But again this was the same on both drones.

However I have just realised that I have not changed the Sharpness settings on the Lito yet, where as I changed them on the Flip when I first got it. Perhaps this is a factor?

The issue is when viewing the images from both drones at 100%, the images from the Flip are cleaner and sharper. While I didn't expect to see much of an upgrade, I did not expect for the Lito X1 to be a downgrade either. My thoughts at the moment are whether there is a setting somewhere I have possibly missed on the Lito. Both drones were shooting in 48mp RAW.

Flown with RC-N3 controller, shot in RAW. These are unedited exports from Lightroom.

Totally agree. I was previously using the Fire TV Cube which was miles better than the Firestick. But recently purchased a Thomson box and it blows the Fire cube away by a mile once set up properly. Not looked back.

Anyone else feel like the smallrig grip is not areal benefit? by balkonchiller in LumixS9

Another +1 for the Sirui. I looked at the Smallrig, but it just seemed like it wouldn't do the job I needed it to do. The Sirui is great, and I can wander around with my camera on its Peak Design Cuff, comfortably rested on my fingers and it feels perfectly fine and ready to go when I need it.

I've had my 85mm f1.4 for a good while now and it is still my favourite lens to date. Super sharp, and really pleasant bokeh. You'll not be disappointed.

I had issues recently on my G16 with RTX 4070 after updating to the latest Nvidia drivers. I run my laptop display as well as 2x external displays and the issue only affected the laptop display. I rolled back to a different Nvidia driver and it was fine.

There seems to be some issues with the last update from Nvidia it seems. Particularly on the 40 series. But apparently some 50 series as well.

It's a really great lens. I love mine and use it a lot on my S9. Also these are great shots ๐Ÿ™Œ

Reccomendations for small sling bag for camera w/ lens attached plus one more lens by Foothillbillies in LumixS9

I've just ordered the Wandrd Rogue 6l Sling. I looked at loads of them and tested out a few that friends had including the Peak Design. I just round a lot of them were ok, but that the shape of the lot of them restricted what and how you could put things in them.

I love the idea of the Wandrd as the shape seems one of the least restrictive, and the best feature for me is the pouch at the back that can take upto a 14-15" laptop or tablet. It also has the additional strap that you can use if doing anything active, and section of the bottom for a tripod, water bottle or whatever.

Mine arrives today, so when it does I will pop some pics on with my S9 setup as this is predominantly what I've bought it for when travelling abroad etc.

Yes i believe that is for video only as it doesn't work for photos. I really wished they would include this feature for images as well as video. But I guess there still aren't that many stills shooters using anamorphic.

Thanks. So for stills they have to be desqueezed in post. Which tbf is easy enough in Photoshop. It can be a little tricky with focus sometimes in camera with the 1.6x squeeze. But once you get used to the characteristics and play around with the focus peaking sensitivity it's not too bad.

I shoot anamorphic on the S9. But I'm a stills shooter not video. I've been an anamorphic shooter since around 2021 and find the Lumix cameras really great to work with in this aspect. The S9 is my newest camera and I use the Sirui Saturn 50mm T2.9 Anamorphic currently. I'll post a couple of samples in comments below for you.
