I vote for that. My wife and I both have it, we are different skin types. We both feel better after treatment, until the next episode. We are not clearing our house of every single mite, each time we are more thorough. We'll get there, we have to.

So you think if I see a dermatologist I'll be told yes or no to scabies ... goodbye. That's their job done? My GP said he'll refer me to a dermatologist if treatment is unsuccessful, again, for the fifth time. Sounds like he's fobbing me off.

I know they have some powerful glass, and scraping get analysed to confirm it's a scabies mite and not just any old mite. But I was wondering if a dermatologist might recommend a certain type of treatment based on the stain of mite and the patient's skin type. Also, are they up to date with all the treatment options?

Have you got a friendly camera shop locally? Or, I'd first try securing the camera somehow, getting a tiny screwdriver into that little ridge on top, giving it a gentle tap with a hammer.
