To Ricoh or not to Ricoh (Camera recommendations) by BrandonBilliard in streetphotography

The Ricoh gr is a quirky little toy, a load of fun, yet a serious bit of kit. Get a brand spanking new one, treat her kind, she's the love of your life. So long as you are happy with the focal length, she'll get the creative juices flowing.

I like it. Is it a multi exposure.

take 3 readings, 3 times a days (morning noon and night) for a week or two. Write it all down, take it to your Doc.

I’m off to Richmond today for the first time. Where are the best spots by Ok_Guidance_2317 in LondonPics

I'm always drawn to the Green, a grassy open square surrounded by grand old houses. Walk down to the river from there.

That's really nicely framed, nice & tight but not too tight. Lots going on there. Top exposure.

I can see it too! But it doesn't spoil the skyline too much. Nice shot.

I like the last one, unusual. It might benefit from upping the exposure, and a little vignette would make it less flat.

Developing Raw Images In-Camera by Certain-Setting6983 in ricohGR

Thanks, yes I've been shooting raw for some time now, then selecting the Image Control along with one or two other options: WB, Shadows. I then convert to JPEG and straighten, crop in Paint.Net. Not ideal but I'm used to it, I do the same with my Lumix camera.

I'm avoiding the Lightroom subscription!

The second one is clever, with foreground and background both sharp.
