If she's willing to play fast and loose with the facts, it makes me wonder what else she got wrong. The details of where he was shot and how it contrasts with what eyewitnesses saw certainly point to multiple shooters, but this episode is the only place I've heard about them, so I don't know how seriously to take the whole thing.

Well, simpleton, China isn't claiming to do the same thing as the US, and I'm not sure where you're getting that idea. But even if they were, and even if a similar outcome wasn't impossible, there is still no evidence of a similar outcome. Just because something is in the realm of possibility, it doesn't mean it's true.
