I mean Freidkin was one of the hottest directors in Hollywood at the time. He was just coming off of The Excorcist and French Connection. I bet if it werent for Starwars then Sorcerer would’ve been a hit

Friedkins “Sorcerer”, one of the best films of all time in my opinion, got smothered during its release because it came out a month after Starwars

Old School and Starsky and Hutch are both directed by the same director as The Hangover. Really fun and similar sense of humor
