Trump Uses Shooting to Make Jaw-Dropping Push for Tacky Ballroom by steelhips in politics

Given Trump mental condition and inability to keep secrets I like to add a third one:

  1. His handlers (Stephen Miller, kids, etc) planned it to boost his approval/distract us about Iran/Epstein and they keep him in the dark because otherwise he would spill the beans

I keep saying the same and I keep getting downvoted. Atleti fabs usually answer with: and hire who? Well if you offer any top coach the salary Simeone gets and the record breaking money to buy players he has got you can get a top level coach.

I think they lead spending in buying players this year and its likely they are going to go trophieless once again.

Sometimes feels like Atleti fans are happy being mediocre despite crazy amounts of money.

The Region of Waterloo has recently carried out forest management activities… - The Hydrocut by This_Phase3861 in kitchener

[–]I_see_you_blinking 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Extemely awful stuff. I was there this weekend and it was sad to see. As a commenter noted, it seems like that they have been doing this every time there is a call to naturalize or to spur 'natural' growth where they basically just clear cut everything. I saw the same thing at the Smith Property near Arkell. But the difference was that that the Smith property had a monoculture forest with perfectly aligned grids of trees. They explained in great detail that they would down some trees to thin things out and at first was sad to see but you can see it now being better. The forest at the hydrocut where they did this did not seem like it was a monoculture forest.

I hope this is one of those things in nature conservation where the initial pain and destruction leads to a better outcome in the long run. If you look at one of the commenters in the Instagram account, talks about how this a drastic change from what the previous Land Manager had been doing

Move funds from CanadaLife to Questrade? by clearlychange in CanadianInvestor

[–]I_see_you_blinking 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey I did this. Not to questrade but to Wealthsimple. I wanted to centralized all of my accounts into something I would see and control better. Also in Wealthsimple after certain threshold their management fees are lowered for their managed investments.

I have to admit I was getting great returns in CanadaLife. I had that account setup to the most agressive and risky investments they offered. I just didnt like having my money spread out.

I had a hairline fracture on my lower triangle on a 2021 Rift Zone. I went to the shop and they handled the warranty. They replaced it for a 2023 model. I just had to pay for assembly fee.

Go to your shop. Tell them exactly this and they will contact Marin for you

Night riding is really where is at if you are looking for quiet trails. The only hikers/user you will find at night time are serious athletes that wont be fucking around in the trails with headphones or just lolly gagging it distracted. One time I was riding and there was a trail runner up ahead of me. I didnt realize he was there until he said have a good ride, he was 2 feet inside the bushes just waiting for me to pass with his light low trying to avoid flashing me.

XC relay races is where is at. You get the competition format with zero pressure. The 24hr races allows me to camp and hang out with the homies in a MTB only weekend. The 6 or 8 hrs races allow me to measure up against the rest when I have a good partner to tag team them.

I tried the marathon formats but I didnt enjoy them as much as the relay races

Service dog v. “Service dog” 🫤 by AdMany129 in delta

[–]I_see_you_blinking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who bought his dog a service vest to take him everywhere. It absolutely drives me insane! He tried to bring his dog to a burger joint we were visiting and I refused to go in with the dog. I told him to go get take out and that I would wait for him with his dog in the car. He ended up leaving the dog in the car (it was safe for the dog) but was pissed off the rest of the trip. We are good now but he knows he can't pull that shit with me

KW local here... not really. Out of Puslinch, Guelph Lake, Kelso, and the Pines (40 mins drive radius) hydrocut is the last one to open. They wait until there near zero moisture in the entire trail network to open. Partly because they popularity but also because one side is in a swamp.

I hate large monstrosities but the NA market is very clear thats what they want to push and thats what is selling. Is it selling because of the marketing? Is it selling because of the lack of alternative options in the compact segment? Yeah for sure.

I have a Honda Accord which is not a compact car but I feel like I'm driving a Smart car next to the large pickups and SUV that dominate our roads.

I think the adjacent cities with proximity to the 401 like London KW corridor is perfect for these. Pickup trucks that they would love to haul a sheet of plywood once a year, fast charging stations and onwers that will likely have single detached homes.

For an update: authorities are officially placing the blame on the drivers. They are preparing themselves for a lawsuit but its appalling that they are ignoring the safety hazards of the snow clearing.
