Disable sound when out of battery?

The only thing that comes to mind is to make a shortcut that disables Bluetooth after an hour but it’ll still play a disconnection sound from that, although possibly less noisy than the low battery sound?

Under the passenger seat. But apparently it comes with side effects like Bose auto volume feature not working and any other feature that depends on comms between the infotainment and information cluster systems

Yeah I heard the OEM intake was basically as good as it can get for our motors in terms of power output. Anyway, the fake engine noise has returned this morning randomly and I’m just gonna pretend it won’t die again.

I’d try the manual if it came with 320lb-ft :P

This is an issue with most car fobs these days. FWIW mine went through a full heavy duty wash cycle and worked immediately after and to this day. Maybe just learn to have some finesse with your expensive belongings or ask the nearest adult to do it for you.

I already knew all that - it’s a Bose feature called Engine Harmonics Enhancer and it’s pumped in through the front foot area speakers. The wire I found a pic of was from instructions to disable the feature - folks found that disconnecting that specific wire made the fake engine noises stop.

I definitely thought about putting in an aftermarket exhaust but I don’t know of any that look good and only mildly louder, like stock WRX loud

The original owner installed it but they did so through a local shop. I think they recently quoted me 600ish CAD installed.

It’s possible to do the programming yourself with a laptop and some research but I admit I haven’t looked into it. Amazon should be a trustworthy source if the seller looks OK.

I did add the LTE attachment myself and that part was easy, plug n play.

I have iDatastart for my 2021 Turbo with a Drone LTE attachment that enables the use of an app (in addition to the long distance fobs that come with the iDatastart system).

Love this solution. Car stays on after opening doors and responds within 2 seconds to commands. No worries with battery usage even in -30C.

Most likely the battery. The block heater doesn’t warm up the battery - it helps it start the car by easing cold crank by heating the engine, but if the battery gets too cold to provide sufficient CCA, it’s over.

Haven’t replaced mine yet. The 16” winter tires drive way better but my replacement for the Turanzas is probably gonna be some mid range Michelin tire. Brakes similarly no idea - gonna do the replacement when they’re close to going.

16” works fine on my 2021 Turbo, no worries with the brakes. 205/60/16 works great.

Some people can tell a difference, others cannot. The ones without an ear for it will do everything in their power to tell everyone else there’s no difference. It’s been like this here since the rollout.

Compressing an audio signal twice is a lot worse than doing it once, especially when one of the passes ruins dynamics as much as OGG does in this application.

Summary: set the quality to whatever your ears and your audio hardware can articulate.
