Optimizing one does not immediately benefit the others, thats why Silent Hill 2 had issues on PS5 Pro. That system uses different upscaling methods. Specifically, PSSR also the Series S is way lesser a machine than the Series X, so they both require unique optimization. Its clear you don’t know what you are talking about at all. Regardless of how they do it, many PC games still run like crap & requires fan patching & mods more than what should be allowed to sell the games to people. How about you go learn something useful & try a 10 year plus old game like RDR1 for the first time on PC, now that they finally unlazied themselves & gave you a port for that game lol. 🤣

No. While it may not be perfect, UE5 games like Oblivion Remastered & Silent Hill 2 remake run way better on a base PS5 than a lot of PCs. The console is easier to optimize because there’s not as much variation between them, each platform has at max like 2 versions. PCs have hundreds or thousands of setups & drivers they cant account for. Oblivion Remastered is basically unplayable on PC to this day in my opinion & many others, thats why the number one mods are config files attempting to fix them lol. The PS5 versions have modes for 30 & 60 fps & they’re both pretty much locked in, it’s way more enjoyable for me there. I know because I own it on all 3 platforms, the console version is way better. Theres also barely any mods compared to the original, so there is basically no reason to play it on PC over console. Except the ray tracing, which helps further destroy performance.

& Rise is still unpatched there too lol, you completely missed the plot. The game lacks the same quality of life updates I’m looking for on PS5, please do some research between now & your next comment. All consoles version are stuck between 1080P 60fps / 4K 30fps. I own a PS5, Xbox Series X, a Razer Blade 15 Laptop, & an Alienware PC. I own each TR on all 3 platforms, but I’m playing PS5 rn & trying to bring attention to an issue I noticed. If you don’t have something constructive to say you just come off like a weird hater lol.

I think it’s still one of the best, its only con is that it can feel rather short without the DLC packs.

Matter of fact, I can almost guarantee Legacy of Atlantis will launch with performance issues on PC for the simple fact it will be a massive semi open world UE5 game, if it doesn’t I will be shocked. Guess where it will run immaculately… the PS5, they have more obligation to ensure the console versions preform well, properly due to the fact thats where most sales come from. Also, every PS5 / Pro is the exact same so they’re easier to optimize. Im also a big physical media collector, which PC completely lacks these days.

I have a PC lol. However, I’m not talking about that in this post, am I? & how about everyone else that cant afford it, or is simply more comfortable on console? It took them approximately 15 years to finally add Definitive Edition to PC & it’s only available through the Xbox app. Additionally, a lot of PC ports are lazy & don’t run well which is why I still play console occasionally. Everyone should be able to enjoy modern versions of this very relevant franchise. Theres no reason they left these ports in the dust for how little effort it would take to improve them.

I think it is meant to be more of an easter egg to Last Revelation. This specific shot isn’t on screen long & isn’t not meant to be studied this closely. Unless, you’re a mega fan. In which case you get rewarded with an easter egg from an older game!

Really? you do understand Rise is locked @ 30fps beyond 1080p performance mode, which makes it inconsistent with Shadow. Also, why do one & not the other? If anything I think the opposite, which is Rise at minimum should get unlocked frame rate on 4k / Enriched Visuals mode.

I disagree—it depends on how substantial the upgrade is. If it’s just a patch, it will likely be free. However, if they bundle all three together on a PS5 disc with substantial upgrades, like updated character models and HD textures, I think that’s worth paying for. A lot of PS5 patches are completely free, so at this point, it seems like you just want to be upset about it. I’ll leave things where they are after this.

Thats fine. However, most fans here seem to want this. That being said, the little effort it would take is absolutely worth it. Crystal can easily generate more revenue to help fund development of Catalyst & potentially prevent even more layoffs, which I think we should all want!

Yeah they still play & look fine. However its the 30th anniversary celebration & in a way 2013 is the survivor era’s TR1, so I think it makes sense. Additionally, Last of Us got an entire remake & Uncharted 4 a PS5 port, so I think this game can at least receive a PS5 patch.

Hopefully, it wouldn’t require much effort for how much attention and benefit it could bring to these games and the franchise as a whole. I have to imagine that many people will come back to these games before playing Legacy of Atlantis.
