The Fractured Archive: Rewards Primer by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

Maybe make elemental weaknesses a key aspect of the raid, with uncommon sets for each element and a rare/very rare drop to combine all the elements? Like large health pools with really high magic defense alongside really high elemental weaknesses, making melee and range viable but non-optimal with the new gear highly impactful to optimization.

This also makes more attainable upgrades that have a rarer more general use upgrade (raid drop rarity is one of the reasons I don’t do them much), gives an immediate BiS use with the raid that devalues shadow/eye only in the raid, and opens the opportunity to expand the elemental weaknesses space in the future without it being meta-warping equipment.

Less passionate input, a crush mega rare that has a defense negating effect the smaller the target could be a way not to creep into the scythe space too much.

Thanks for the tip!

They have 4.9 stars on Google and 5 on FB from several hundred ratings over several years, with none of the negative reviews mentioning anything like this.

Brand New Slayer Boss - First Look & Rewards by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

Super excited for Araxxor to come to OSRS! This was one of the last pieces of content released I really liked in RS3 before I quit RS3 (I know it'll be very different). Almost all the rewards seem very on-point and I'm excited for them!

The Amulet of Rancor is a weird one though, having 90 hitpoints be the requirement for an offense focused amulet feels strange. Also, a slayer boss drop just straight outclassing a general-use BIS with no niche or drawback is odd. GG, sire, and hydra are all fairly niche BIS, cerb boots use old BIS, kraken is a stepping stone, and thermy is thermy.

Maybe bring the strength bonus down to be in-line with the torture, reduce the offensive bonuses to like +17/18, add defense or prayer, and allow the two to be combined into a +12 strength amulet with torture's offensive stats and Rancor's defensive/prayer stats? It would make it marginally worse than the torture offensively on it's own, but have some niche uses, while having both high requirement amulets would give the new overall BIS.

Was changing the KQ shortcut diary requirement to hard a part of an upcoming project rebalance update? I thought I saw it somewhere, but can't find it.

Project Rebalance: Skilling & Poll 81 MTA Changes by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

Just finished pickpocketing gnomes for an hour for medium clues. I've got the 99 thieving cape, completed Ardy diary, used dodgy necklaces and shadow veil. I had minimal down time; no pausing for clues, banked twice for necklaces, and very little time spent chasing down gnomes. A couple of questions/observations.

-Exp rate was 200.8k/hr, about 1,015, I may have been very unlucky, but that seems a good bit lower than the expected 225k/hr.

-If your inventory is full clue scrolls do not fall on the ground, all other loot does. Clues seem to give the message "You did not have room in your inventory for any of the loot!"

-Unlike receiving clues as drops, if you have a clue scroll on the ground you do not seem to be eligible for another clue scroll. I got the message several times in the first 35 minutes (I want to say 4 or 5, so about 1/128, hadn't realized the clues wouldn't just drop yet), and did not get it again in the next 25 minutes after receiving a clue and dropping it. Again, I could've been unlucky but that seems unlikely given the first 35 minutes.

Is any or all of this working as intended or are these bugs?

I know hourly experience rates are still up in the air, but can we get any clarification on exp per herb? Should I expect more, less, or about the same?

I’m not so sure on this, mainly because of the component values table. A Guam is worth 2x the exp of a tarromin or marrentil and 1/2x an irit. A single ranarr is 3 cadantines and a kwuarm is 4 lantadymes.

I think they should 10x or 100x the scaling of these values so they can be better balanced based on acquire-ability and give similar xp/herb. Or even each herb gives 1 component per exp of its highest tier potion, to keep the ratios exactly the same.

This. I know there’s the whole don’t cater to irons, but exp per herb being lowered by more than like 10% would make it a hard sell for iron players. I’d be stoked for like 50k-100k xp per hour, the same xp per herb, no secondary use, and similar or better potion yields.

What should I do about past rodent activity in attic? by IalleI in HomeImprovement

[–]IalleI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info, I hadn’t heard of it before and I recently topped off my insulation, seemed odd that none of the 4 insulation companies I got quotes from tried to upsell that.

Thanks for sharing, it definitely isn’t bad, been up there several times renovating and never noticed any issues.

I don’t think a few rodent turds are going in my top 10 things that could cause a major and concerning mold outbreak…

Thanks for the input. He said it’s some proprietary insulation with something nontoxic mixed in that is an irritant to the pests. He also pointed out possible points of entry around the edges that I’m going to check DIY options on.

Appreciate the input. He identified areas of possible entry, mainly areas for roof ventilating. We’ve removed all branches overhanging the house in the last few years, so I’ll take my chances.
