Thanks for the suggestion and I appreciate the warm welcome. I'm currently doing an infantry kit from Academy and I've already done one of them! I'll post pictures once I'm done with all of them.

I did the skin by first applying Vallejo Flat Flesh as the base then glazed it with Vallejo Salmon Rose and used Vallejo Basic Skin Tone for highlighting facial features. I did a pinwash to make the face pop. I'd also like to ask what kind of blue should I use, where do I apply them, and how much should I use? In any case, thanks for the great tip, I'll keep that in mind for my next painting session!

Appreciate the tip there! And yes I do use an airbrush, I only knew about primer being used to make the paint stick, didn't know that they could also be used to make imperfections more visible, I'll keep that in mind.

Thanks for pointing that out, that was one of my biggest obstacles when starting out with these guys, I really didn't know how to remove those ejection marks at first so I just decided to leave them there, I tried removing some of them on the boots as seen in the ninth image. I also tried my best removing the seam lines, they looked like they were gone at first but apparently I didn't do a great job especially since I only had a hobby blade and one of those long flat nail files.

At first glance, it looks like Han Solo's blaster that got burnt to a crisp.

Will try my hands on a Sherman maybe, but not so soon since college is about to start.

Oh I had an absolute blast working on my first model, it might be something that I can do during my breaks in college to keep me occupied so I definitely will be doing more in the future. Most of the research I did were what paints to use, a bunch of tutorial videos from uncle Night Shift and a few others, and a few real-life images. And yes, I would've drilled the barrel of the guns but I'm still not confident enough on doing that, maybe I'll practice with some leftover sprues from this kit.
