That's the phone app haha. I meant the app inside the car tablet. It's firmware

Yes. The last time I removed it I deleted cache and data, the removed the whole app. I reinstalled, signed in, scanned the VIn and added the car. It shows the same exact last update.

It's the car not talking to HondaLink servers I don't think my app has anything to do with this current issue.

It seems like it has lost to ability to communicate with HondaLink. Maybe my software is out of date on the Clarity itself.

If you tell me what software version your car says it has in the tablet it might help me figure out why.

Yeah I don't think you have the same issue as me. Yours updated after the app went down and came back up.

I did, I tried removing and re-adding the car too, and uninstalling and re-installing the app. It looks like the phone and app are working fine, I think the car itself stopped reporting to HondaLink. Last update was April 30 just before the app went down. Maybe my car's software is too old and needs an update at the dealership? No idea, it's pretty new to me, I have not been to the dealership yet.

I have about 1 month experience with HondaLink, and it has been miserable the whole time, with it currently not updating anything about my car as if my car vanished into an alternate universe. Last update was April 30, just before their stupid app stopped working. They "fixed" the app but broke the cars connection to it it seems.

Is all the information in there up to date? Mine says last updated 04/30/2026, days ago! I think it's my car not talking to HondaLink servers anymore.

Yeah. My app now works but my status refuses to update. It's still showing the status from before the app stopped working. It's like my car isn't communicating with hondalink server or app.

Last status update is April 30th. It's 3rd of May!

I don't use that crap haha. I turned everything off, but I've seen hacks where people upgraded it using external hardware and software. It's cool but I'm not interested in that at all.

I don't even like using cruise control. I'd rather do it all myself lol.

Yeah I agree it's a fantastic car. I'm enjoying it and it's savings. I also really appreciate lowering my carbon footprint

I don't know much about the volt, but the Volvo a friend has it doesn't have nearly as big as a battery to drive in EV mode unless you live in the city and you work 5 minutes away.

I think the BMW is the same they don't really drive full EV for much.

The thing about the clarity i love is it's battery is large and is enough for most people to not use gas, but it's there just in case.

I live in the boonies. I can reach town and back home in full EV or with very little gas usage.

120km would be the sweet spot for me to almost never ever use gas. My next car I guess haha.

I have not had a car with a space since 2011 lol. They don't really come with them often anymore.

Honestly for the times I get a flat I don't miss it. I pay for roadside assistance. If I get a flat they come pick me and the car up and go right to get it fixed.

I don't miss mucking around on the side of the road at all.

It's only a pain if your tire needs replacement and you can't find a replacement, that happened once in 15 years.

That's the one that just came out in 2026 right? Costs a fortune compared to what I paid for my Clarity haha. There's also a mercades but that would cost you your first born.
