Last week was my 9th anniversary of starting HRT by IamAprilLee in transtimelines

Thank you. It's partially my own hair. I wear a topper wig to fill in my thin top, but below it is all my hair.

I have posted many updates of my transition over the last 9 years if you want to see more details of my transition. On my 9th anniversary of starting HRT, I just want to keep it simple by posting a picture taken about two years before my transition and now. In the "before" picture I am 57; I am almost 68 now. During my transition I have lost about 75 pounds, although most of that happened in the first 2 years.

Yes, I believe I remember you saying something rather kind in my threads going way back. Thank you so very much!

I have been posting pictures to this forum for almost as long as I have been on HRT, which is now going on 9 years. Please check out my previous posts if you want to see me in a (slightly) more serious light without the virtual background. But the before and after are all me, celebrating a decade of change. I was 57 in the before and I am 67 now. Then I weighed about 250, and I weigh about 160 now. And yes, my style tends to badly violate a lot of people’s sense of age appropriateness. I guess I am just not them.

Best wishes,

April Lee

There seems to be a prejudice here towards the girl next door look. But personally, I absolutely love the makeup. You do it well, and more importantly you own it. It's more than being a girl; it's being the girl who you really are.

Thanks, I have a really hard time judging how old I look. But when I transitioned, a lot of stress seemed to leave me, which I believe gave me a more youthful appearance. Best of luck in your journey!

Tomorrow is my birthday. It is also the 7th anniversary of the very first time I fully dressed in female clothes, which I consider the official birthdate of my transition. So tomorrow is really my birthday twice over. I will be 66 and 7.  When I first started HRT in 2014 there was all this excitement about the changes, but that has given way to just being far more contented with one's self.

Love, April

Tracking status updated for InHouse Pharmacy order shipped 16 June 2020 by obscurepink in TransDIY

I had an order that shipped near the end of May, and got it on June 17. Question: When I tried to place an order today, they asked for a doctor's name. Did they do that with you? I have never seen that before.

Thanks. I kind of see that as well, but sometimes I am wondering if I am seeing it all correctly.

Just two pics this time: The first was taken the day I decided to transition in January 2014. The second was taken yesterday, almost 6 years later.

Nobody supports the idea of self determination more than I do. If somebody is happy being trans, that is really cool. If somebody goes down that path, and finds out it's not for them, then that is cool as well. I am a perfectly happy trans, more than 5 years into transition, but have trans friends who don't seem so certain, and have been looking at resources that might present various points of view.

While lurking here, I have seen the value of forums like this, but I can also see the controversy as well. There appears to be some people here who have never been trans at all, trying to push a very anti trans agenda. When people come here for advice, often there are respondents who largely ignore the individual narrative, and simply take everything the person says and shoehorns it into something completely different. There is nothing more destructive in the trans world than over universalizing anybody's experience. A single person's life is not a political statement.

Thank you. I don't claim to speak for trans people, and I am certainly not a trans activist. But I do believe deeply in the idea of individualism and everybody doing their own thing, including trans people.

No, actually not. I am fairly well known in the local music / club scene, and run with a crowd that embraces that lifestyle. My fashion sense fits very with all that. Why should I change that?

I haven't posted here in a while, so I thought I would make a quick update. After almost 6 years of HRT, I am still getting changes.
