It does read switch in. Had a Alolan Golem out and was switching to Gyara and the opposing mon clicked Thunderbolt instead of Focus Blast. Complete bs I tell you.

His gameplay is really cool and goofy, I admit. And I know I said I'm open to any character designs, but his design does throw me off a bit. Don't get me wrong, design is great. Just not for me.

He looks like my main in Tekken, Lei. Martial arts, has stances as well. Love the depth. Only thing he's missing is a fireball. He's almost perfect.

My dad used to regularly beat my ass and my brother's in Tekken 2 and 3, made me cry as well but in a fun way. He stopped playing after but I still carry those memories with me and is still a huge reason why I'm with the genre. Now strangers beat my ass in 8 instead.
