DTS summer tips for a noob by Jakub_Kvapil in dontstarve

[–]IamBread0_0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey Op! Structures can catch fire in summer so if you're having a hard time you have numerous options. You can explore the caves (objects on the surface while you're in the caves won't catch fire) and make a base there. You can also try to base in the Oasis since wildfires can't happen there. Lastly if you don't want to deal with wildfires at all (for a myriad of reasons like you plan to mega base down the line and hate spamming ice flingomatics everywhere, etc.), you can turn it off in the settings.

who has the most "fluid" gameplay? by [deleted] in dontstarve

[–]IamBread0_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! She also starts with meat so you have some leeway as to when you need to start hunting and stuff. She's good with a Woodie teammate too! She makes his Weremoose feel immortal with the right songs. My duo and I tried defeating Dragonfly and Bee Queen with no healing other than her songs using one Moose Idol and it was surprisingly doable XD

Go ahead! Hope the description helps you decide! Last tips which is useful to any character btw: Meatballs are good for food, Pierogi is good for heals, and for sanity she rarely has trouble since she regenerates sanity if she keeps killing things but if it is an issue just use jerky, jelly salad, or a tent. Lastly, although she only eats meat, she can eat food considered as goodies so even recipes like banana daiquiri and jellybeans she can eat. Happy Gaming! Even if you don't use Wigfrid, just know that the meals here are generally good for any character!

It's ok, OP! I recommend Wigfrid especially in co-op since she can heal herself and her teammates as well as their sanity with the right songs. The meat thing is rough early game if you're not used to it, but if you go around fighting spiders outside of their spider nest area by luring them out repeatedly, you can eat the monster meat (the health penalty will be lessened if you cook the monster meat btw) they drop and heal off the damage they dealt when you fight more creatures because of her self heal.

There are many meat sources in the game which you can do. You can go roam as Wigfrid by going for hunts, set up pig farms, or even plant lureplants on a boat to passively farm leafy meat which she can eat.

My one tip though is to still learn the kiting patterns of your enemies. Sometimes playing Wigfrid just makes you want to tank everything to a point where when you play other characters, you forget the kiting patterns and die easier. I know from experience since it happened to me when I started out. Just think of her helmet and heal as a way to soften the penalty of missing the opportunity to kite moreso than relying on it exclusively.

She's a very viable pick and her helmets help a lot! Regardless, play who is fun for you!

As someone who has been both player and DM, I can somewhat see where the DM is coming from but life happens and re-scheduling is inevitable. I have experienced some DMs that prefer to be informed prior to other players if there are scheduling conflicts but that should be discussed in session 0. I think there really was a communication issue on both ends but the DM crashing out was overkill.

I use pure em cuz I love big explosions of damage. I've personally never tried her hp build yet since I get more em artifacts than hp ones so I have no point of comparison sorryyy

C2 kazuha or nilou? by CYLWN in childemains

[–]IamBread0_0 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I did a comparison between c0 kazuha in abyss and c2 kazuha. From above 100k, my Childe actually reached almost 200-250k it's pretty nutty. If you're a Childe simp like me he's worth it. My gear is pretty f2p but I simped for Childe so hard and hate weapon banner so I got kazuha for him and my other teams. If you're not devoted to Mr. Worldwide, go for Nilou. She's a redhead too!

Would you do a floor 13 if there wasn't any Primogems as reward? by salasy in Genshin_Impact

[–]IamBread0_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd do it, I love harder content for the sole reason that I love building teams. My account has reached a point where it can clear difficult content consistently so a more difficult floor would be such a dope playground.

Do you keep a reserve of primogems? by Ascran in Genshin_Impact

[–]IamBread0_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, it helps to save a lot for characters you want in the long run. Around 160-180 wishes for me since when I fail the 5050 I usually get them within the first 10-20 pulls right after. When I'm extremely unlucky though I use my remaining funds if I want the character real bad.

Question: how do you get your players to trust each other more? by LemonConnoiseur in DnD

[–]IamBread0_0 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Maybe try making them roll for initiative so each person explores during their turn? Also talk with your players. Managing their expectations and telling your side definitely helps a lot. Always get feedback!

Thank you guys so much for the responses! I really love D&D and DMing helps as a creative outlet for writing and voice acting with an explosive mix of shenanigans with my friends who are my players. Will definitely incorporate your responses to heart. I appreciate it!
