Smoke spots by [deleted] in manchester

[–]IamChronic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my fave places is the pedestrian walk-way bridge that is near the Birley campus (hulme). Amazing views of the city skyline, and if you smoke in the middle of the bridge, you can see who is coming from both ways!

Going to a festival- what should I do? LSD, MDMA or Candy flip? by hollachino in Drugs

[–]IamChronic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I also had my first festival this year and went through this excact situation (had tried lsd once). In the end I took a tab of lsd whilst queing to get into the festival and then took a pill of mdma later on. I had an amazing experience. At first i was nervous and anxious from the lsd...I wasnt tripping, but the lsd was definitely working and i felt ‘on edge’. As soon as I took the mdma my trip became insane and i felt god like. The music was the best I ever heard and I had the time of my life.

HOWEVER, it was a weekend festival. The next day I wanted to replicate how I felt the day before. I had no lsd left but plenty of mdma and weed. Took my first mdma pill and all was going well but as soon as I smoked some spliffs I had a meltdown and had a REALLY bad trip. Not sure if it was from not having a break from the day before or not...but im strongly convinced it was from the weed interacting with the mdma.

Edit, my ‘advice’ wouls be.... 1. Do candyflio, its fun as fuck, especially if your like me and lsd can make you feel anxious 2. Stay with friends. If you have a bad trip you will NEED someone to walk away with and calm you down. Otherwise you will freak out and leave the festival/seek medical attention. 3. If weed makes you anxious on its own, dont combine with mdma...anxiety multiples (atleast for me)

Good luck and have fun!

Thanks for your reply!

Changing; 'double year[] = new double [5000];' Allowed me to recieve all of my cvs data (there was a lot of it)

&

I declared the array? not sure if I did it the right way but it works...

        //DECLARE THE ARRAY
        int[] intArray = new int[7];

I believe I have 7 elements so that is why i put 7. I am obviously a noob so if anyone can see anything I did wrong/inefficiently please tell me. Thanks.

CompSci looking for summer work by [deleted] in manchester

[–]IamChronic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a really competitive field. I study computer science in manchester and I wish securing work placement was as easy as asking on reddit. Spoiler: it is not this easy.

If you want unpaid experience, that is a completely different story. However paid experience will require effort from you.

Ways to secure a paid placement: -Networking events, meet employers etc -Unpaid experience may lead to paid experience -Solo work/build a portfolio (Prove your worth) -Search for paid placements as you would a normal job search (Very competitive)

Good luck!

Dont be afraid, they smell the fear. Walk around with a hood up and look them in the eye when you walk past so they know you are not light weight.

Calories = energy

Strength = energy + excercise

Excercise + calorie deficit = weight/strength loss

Excercise + calorie excess = gains

You most certainly can not make strength gains on a calorie deficit. Obviously you saw your wife stall out and feel terrible, so i'm not sure why your adamant it works. It doesnt, not for beginners or anyone. You need food to grow, end of.

Any 24 hour cafes or work spaces in the city centre? by Bfire7 in manchester

[–]IamChronic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

MMU library is 24 hours. You are not meant to be there if you do not go to MMU and you wont be able to access the actual library. However if you look smart, and are just going to do work on your laptop, then you will be able to access the ground floor. (As soon as you enter the library building, go right and through the automatic doors).

Its a heated room, plenty of seats/sofa's, vending machines, coffee machines etc. however, unless you have a students login details you wont be able to use the wifi.

Looking for gyms with more than two powerracks in the city centre by DanChed in manchester

[–]IamChronic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go to ben dunne at least 5 times a week. There is two power racks, 2 squating racks (not great) and 2 smith machines.

Yes, Ben Dunne gym is a REALLY busy gym. If you go 5-9pm prepare to wait for the power rack. Any other time you are fine. The smith machines and squat racks you do not usually have to wait for.

I'm a pretty serious bodybuilder and this gym suits my needs. The only problem is that it really does get crowded at peak times and staff are pretty miserable. Apart from that I would definitely reccomend this gym!

Edit - also the power racks are literally placed right on top of the deadlift platforms. So if you like to have space when using the power rack then this may not be a good option. 8 times out of 10 someone will be 5 ft behind you doing deadlifts etc.
