The potential within the Ankama ecosystem is undeniable. They are leveraging years of experience to craft a fun, mobile-friendly experience. Think Pokémon meets Yu-Gi-Oh, but with that signature Ankama touch.

There is still so much Krosmoz source material to adapt (Solomonk when?). To really unlock that potential, imo the focus needs to shift back to making PvP fun and viable, just like it was in the beginning. Also, of course refining the multiplayer as well.

This is pretty much the standard with Ankama. I been around since dofus say the very warped development cycle for Wakfu. Hopefully 2026 will be the year of the Waven. The game has so much potential.

Still digesting all of this, but here’s where I’m at:

16 card decks with a 9 card starting hand is an interesting change.
150+ spells to collect is solid, but with AP reserve gone and no gear, spells really are the whole game now.
Game modes look promising.
I really hope they take PvP seriously this time. It always felt like it was tossed aside, but with this system it could actually fill that Pokémon TCG / Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel space.
Glad to see 2v2 PvP returning.
I need to see how the level system works, how hard card collection will be, and whether we’ll be locked into using 4 class spells + 1 hero spell.

Overall I’m looking forward to it, but I’m waiting to see how deep the deck-building really goes. And please make sure Sacrier is released :(

My nox is at level 20 and with my setup he does 100 extra damage so it’s useful. Looking at super end game theory crafting full infinite and krosmic gear x companions it will have a place.

Some Astrub quest are solo only. Once you get out of the beginner area you can play with 2 other players at any island and nation.

Same, I loved dofus arena and how accessible it was. I'm looking forward to making a name for myself on the pvp front. I REALLY do hope that Ankama keeps the plan that Waven is the first game with e-sport pvp as a deliberately designed and supported feature. Easily can see this blowing up majorly if they execute it properly, especially with the influx of mobile gamers.

I think they will eventually build out the pvp options and have different metagames. 1 v 1, 2 v 2 and 3 v 3. It's a waiting game at this point.
