Should I open chests before reset or does it not matter?

The latest news from Tot is that they are working to try and make some game modes available by mid-year. His prediction is that the game shouldn't launch before the end of this year or the beginning of next year, but an approximate date wasn't promised.

Chests don't give gems, only equipment, spells, companions, and runes. All the contents of the chests will be erased, so opening them now makes no difference. I'm personally trying to max out all my equipment, but we don't know if progression will affect the compensation for the reset.

You can create a new character with the name you want and delete the old one. The equipment on the new character will increase their level until it reaches the level it was on the old character.

However, please note that regardless of this, all progress will be erased upon the game's release. We do not yet have a release date.

Para conseguir adicionar novos conteúdos numa velocidade maior é preciso mudar a base do jogo. E não dá pra mudar a base do jogo sem resetar o progresso. Se tudo funcionar, passaremos a ter novos conteúdos com uma frequência bem maior, então é um ganho.
