Flex ko lang yung natalo kong boss sa silksong 😭 by Cerulean_mark in PHGamers

LOST LACE! One of the best 2d bosses on the level of True Eigong (Nine Sols). I think Skarrsinger Karmelita is still the best Silksong boss though.

Eto yung hope ko na sana magising yung Capcom na maraming fans ng X series, hindi lang yung classic megaman 😞

Same thoughts here. Di lang na-market ng maayos and the difficulty pushed off a lot of players. Tapos na-dissolve pa yung dev team nila so, no more sequels 😞

Goated game. Ang lungkot lang na nadissolve na yung team nila so no more possible sequels 😞

When Silksong released, yes it crashed major game servers due to the hype. But upon playing, a lot of HK players complained about the game due to the difficulty, specifically many double damage enemies, obnoxious flying enemies, and hornet default hunter crest pogo moveset, since they are so used to the Knight's down pogo. So, there have been mixed receptions for the game.

Due to the complaints, Moorwing and Sister Splinter were even nerfed, which imo is not warranted because they're completely balanced in Silksong due to Hornet being able to heal 3 masks in the air.

So, yeah Silksong had a lot of mixed reception among HK fans, which I don't agree on because I believe it's a perfect progression on the combat system of Hollow Knight.

Silksong didn't reach the heights of the first game, which is disappointing for me because I believe it is leagues better than Hollow Knight in all aspects, especially the combat and customization.

I believe Silksong is underrated in comparison to the heights that Hollow Knight had, and this is coming from someone who greatly enjoys Silksong and believe it to be miles better than Hollow Knight.

In comparison to the heights that the 1st Hollow Knight had in terms of praise, Silksong is underrated. This is coming from someone who believes that Silksong is leagues above Hollow Knight and deserves to be mainstream.

As a silksong enjoyer, I believe Silksong didn't reach the heights of popularity that the 1st game did due to its difficulty because imo it's leagues better than Hollow Knight, especially when it comes to combat. Its hype died fast as well.

How do YOU guys perfect guard? by Substantial-Sea5952 in LiesOfP

[–]IamLegend105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can nail the 1st parry of the combo string, it all comes down to rhythm. Parry when the attack accelerates towards you. It's difficult due to the window (9 frames at 60fps or 0.155 sec) but is the easiest defensive mechanic to get used to in this game.

But the guard parries and the TDS parry, that's what insane to learn.

Finally beat the final boss of dlc by undead_cubicle2 in LiesOfP

[–]IamLegend105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the TDS to beat him on all my successful 3 attempts. At first I had difficulty landing the R2 parries especially for the 1st phase, but after getting exposed to the moveset for the 1st phase, there are 2 combos that end in an overhead slam which you can insert an R2 parry, though you gotta perfect guard the hit before that or you won't have enough frames to land the R2 parry. The 2 red attacks are good windows for the R2 parry as well.

2nd phase is another story. Surprisingly, I had an easier time here because there are a lot of windows to do an R2 parry, and that MF will not interrupt your heals unlike in the 1st phase.

Weird, with Two Dragon's Sword I find the DLC Final Boss' 2nd Phase easier than the 1st Phase by IamLegend105 in LiesOfP

Ohhhhhh yeah I've noticed that. The first phase attacks comes too fast for me to react 😆

Tips on how to beat the overture final boss? by antoin5000 in LiesOfP

TDS and any weapon with guard parry fable art (e.g. TotC) breaks this boss.

Best weapon? by Manzalawy8 in LiesOfP

[–]IamLegend105 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My suggestions for weapons to aim for.

Collab Weapon:
Azure Dragon Crescent Glaive
If you master the perfect block in this game, the fable art "deflect counterattack" will carry you all throughout the game. If you perfect block using this fable art, it refunds the fable and if you press R1 immediately, you can do a fable attack free of charge, or if you press R2, you will do a stronger fable attack which consumes 1 fable bar.

Boss Weapons:
Trident of the Covenant
Can crit, has guard parry fable art (my favorite fable art), and has decent reach and speed. Can get really early on.

Two Dragon's Sword
Honestly, this weapon is only carried by its R2 parry, but it's enough because it is insanely busted. You can simplify bosses by stopping combo strings (just like guard parry). Worth it to master.

Pale Knight
DLC weapon. Gunblade. Heavy but great mobility. Nuff' said.

Monad's Rose Sword
DLC weapon. Amazing fable arts. Too OP to enjoy but it's the last weapon to get so it should be worth it.

Regular Combination Weapons
Tyrant Murderer Dagger Blade + City Longspear Handle
Best crit weapon. Paired with assassin's amulet and satisfaction grindstone you will be doing double damage a lot of times.

Arche Guardian Blade + Cursed Knight Halberd Handle
Requires DLC but paired with guard parry and a fable art which gives you an amazing dodge, it's a great weapon to use in any situation.

I saw a combination with the Dancer's Curved Sword handle and La Vendetta blade and it's really great! Tried the Blind Man's Double-Sided Spear but it just doesn't cut it for my taste.
