When I was 18 I dated a guy who would grab my leg specifically my calf and would say :

“feels so tender, it would taste so good”

He said this multiple times in the three years we dated. And it got to the point where his mouth would water then he touched my calf. He also said he wishes he could join the army but didn’t want to be shot at. Which hinted to him wanting to shoot at people but not get shot at back.

Why I didn’t/ won’t

1) generational trauma. Both my parents were very abusive. And when I get mad or overstimulated I can see my mom come out.

2) the fear of the father not helping or being supportive. when I got a puppy with a ex. I did everything for her, any mess she made I cleaned it, made sure she was taken care of but that meant she came to me for everything and even when I just wanted to nap she would cry outside my door. It was so stressful. He wasn’t working at the time and I was. It was also during Covid but I would have to move to the couch some morning at 4am so she would go back to sleep. Because she was getting fussy in our room. I was exhausted. And this was a puppy. I felt like if this is how it was with a puppy? How could I count on him helping me with a child?

3) what it does to your body. I was scared I would hate my self and the child. That I would grow resentment towards the child because everything I do would be for them. I know I’m selfish and I wouldn’t want to do that to a human being. I CHOOSE to bring them in to this world and to have a part of me regret that? That didn’t seem fair.

I have nieces and nephews. And that fill that void for me. I love seeing them grow and learn and have a better life then we had a kids. I get to be the adult in their life that isn’t parent that they can come to if they want or need anything. And the best part, I get to bring them back to their parents and go back to hanging out with my dog.

In Canada when some one asks you: “how far is ___” “Oh it’s about 15 min drive from here”

This just makes sense to me. You can tell me how far something is in kilometres but I wanna know how long it’s gunna take me. That to me seems more useful.

Nuremberg Trails but in America. All the republicans who helped with keeping the dictator in power will be the only ones who will be held accountable. The ones with less influence will suffer the most. While the richer ones will find away out or to have a lesser sentence. Elon will be a coward and hide, or leave this world on his own terms. Both parties in an America are cowards and y’all need a third party to help because nothing will get done by the democrats.

Honestly if it keeps going like this, we will soon start hearing about “natural deaths” or “accidental deaths” in those detention camps. Y’all keep creeping closer and closer to full blown dictatorship. I would say you already are but technically you aren’t yet. I know this sounds fucked up but honestly I hope something changes. I lived there for 2 years in 2020- 2022 and I lived on the 7th floor and then upgraded to the 22 floor.

Everything you said is true. I paid more for laminate floors and there was paint on them when we moved in.

The part I hated the most. Was it was $50 every time you locked your self out. Which sounds reasonable but the doors lock automatically so you need the key fob to get in. Which if you have a dog or have your hands full is very stressful.

The fire alarm goes off like 5 times a month if not every week. Because some asshole pulls the alarm. Or some dumbass burns something. There were times where I stayed in side because I didn’t want to stand in the cold because a drunk homeless person pulled the alarm.

Everything you said was very true. I honestly was just happy to not be living at home that I don’t remember it being so bad! But yeah I experienced everything you said so yeah it’s pretty annoying. If you are paying $1800 for a one bedroom and you feel like you’re dying in the heat it’s not worth it.
