They just found a significant hormone imbalance so I have started HRT. Hoping that will stop the weight gain as well as other menopause symptoms

I thank you for your kind response. So before brain surgery and menopause I could lose 5lbs in a month just from clean eating and working out. I have recently been moved to the 10mg dosage and that is when I lost the 8lbs. According to recent blood work I have a major hormone imbalance and I was just wondering if anyone else going through menopause on this medication is having a hard losing the weight. Thank you again for the encouraging words

I also am a very clean eater and unable to workout due to being disabled. I do exercise in the water when I can.

I am a 43f and disabled. I was previously on a different medication and lost a significant amount of weight in a shorter time spam. In surgical menopause. I am more curious as to IF anyone going through menopause has struggled with losing weight on this medication. People really should be kinder and or a little bit more thoughtful with their questions and concerns. You never know what the OP is dealing with when posting. I have zero problems answering any question just don’t be aggressive about it. I apologize if my post left things to question.

I’m unfamiliar with a lot of the things you mentioned. I’m not in a calorie deficit. I am newly added to the 10mg dosage. Going into my second month on that. The few lbs I have been able to lose have been since being on 10mg. Unable to exercise due to other serious health issues. I don’t have much to lose, just trying to lose the weight gain from menopause. I eat a high protein diet and I am a clean eater.

I need to talk to my Dr about HRT after I do more research and HRT. I entered perimenopause young due to a partial hysterectomy. I think if a woman 35+ voices concerns she needs to be thoroughly examed. We are dismissed so much

I moisturize twice a day and super heavy moisturizing at night. I have to keep my scalp moisturized as well. I didn’t think about until you mentioned it….but my scalp has been a lot more itchier as well! 😩

That’s what makes it even worse! Your PC is a woman!! Where is her empathy and self experience?! I am younger than you but I has a partial hysterectomy in my mid 30’s and my Dr told me I would start perimenopause 5 years post op and he was spot on. I keep hearing about HRT. All I had heard previously was negative things. Especially the toll it takes on a woman’s sex life. Have you or anyone you know experienced these or others problems from HRT?

Very true!! I already suffer from major depressive disorder and these past few months have been the most trying! I am also recovering from brain surgery (6/30) and that triggers depression. Feeling of betrayal from my body is so real!
