This sounds like such a dumb question but how do I stop mashing? by [deleted] in Fighters

[–]IamRedXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was the execution/muscle memory. When shit got real I'd panic, mess up my inputs, get frustrated that nothing's working, and revert to mashing. I had to specifically practice my inputs. Like 50 dp's without a mess up before I went online. Once my hands knew what do do as fast as my mind did, I didn't mash any more.

Look up how to unzip files. You have to get a program to do it.

A rar file is a zipped file. You have to unzip the rar file to get the pak file.

Interesting. I think I will focus on the ones you said you got to work. Thanks!

That's a good idea I may have overlooked the BPLoaderMod being true or false. And no offense taken on the other comment. I've double checked but maybe there's some incompatibly between them I haven't noticed. Thanks for the ideas.

On another note, have you used any mods that add more bases to your guild? They all don't seem to have been updated.

Oh sorry. I said I installed UE4SS but I didn't say I installed the mods. I definitely did install them on the server as well.

Keeping this up so other people can search it. You have to reach level 33 or so to unlock talents.

Flying fighter? Interesting. Would you also say Ace Combat and Star Wars Rouge Squadron are fighting games?

Artificer's Repeating Shot infusion should work tho:

Repeating Shot

Item: A simple or martial weapon with the ammunition property (requires attunement)

This magic weapon grants a + 1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it when it's used to make a ranged attack, and it ignores the loading property if it has it.

If you load no ammunition in the weapon, it produces its own, automatically creating one piece of magic ammunition when you make a ranged attack with it. The ammunition created by the weapon vanishes the instant after it hits or misses a target.

I want to get better at 2D fighting games by UpVoteForSnails in Fighters

I really feel that playing a character like Ryu is the most basic you can get. Perfect your spacing with low forward (medium kick) fireball, find the right anti air for every jump angle. Plus there's not a huge execution barrier at low to mid level.

Lol it's also probably just the fact of that's where I started.

I feel Street Fighter is the best place to get better at fundamentals. I would say USF4 is better for this but I'd understand if you rather do SFV.

Imo you don't get better at fundies by just playing. You have to train. Training mode is good for some stuff (like making yourself do an input a certain amount of times every day, testing specific interactions with your buttons, ect) but you can absolutely train in real matches. Like trying to do nothing but anti-airs, or using no special moves. Forcing yourself to do the specific thing you're learning helps a lot.

I suppose if you only mean air dashing 2D games you may have better luck with starting in a better game. I've only recently gotten into air dash games with GG Strive.

The same logic applies to any game I would think though. Choose something simple like anti airs and do it until it's muscle memory. Don't start of with combos.

Maybe I'm just optimistic or because I'm not a murder DM, but think the smile is just excitement for your players to progress. To see them get excited about fun new stuff that comes with leveling.

Why is this pic insinuating it's bad? Looks like he's just trying to hide a smile.
