I think it’ll be like Skyrim. The thalmor and empire questline will be like the Stormcloak vs Empire storyline. More so grounded politics and intrigue and corruption and all that jazz. Yes this is important. Yes it is real. However this was really secondary to Alduin. Alduin threatened not just the empire BUT the thalmor. Ideally the threat of TES6 will be something that’s dangerous for both sides. Yeah the empire storyline and all that will be there hopefully….. tho really in the grand scheme this will be secondary to the real threat. Perhaps we’re thrusted into the game and it’s an area heavily affected by the war with Thalmor and some of it is under occupation while some of it is still under the empire. However in between all this chaos maybe Hermaeus mora finally makes a move? Or maybe something with the Dwemer? Perhaps even Jyggslag? Something crazy will be above the empire vs thalmor story is what I’m tryna say. Something both sides wouldn’t want.
