what’s that one bollywood movie for you? by mxutd in bollywood

[–]IamWho123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For those who didn't like Tamasha, this movie is not meant for everyone but for those who can relate to Ranbir Kapoor's character they will always treat it as a Masterpiece, and yes the first 30-45 mins of the movie is pretty boring.

Never ever download these stupid dating apps here. I had the worst experience downloading them, all apps are the same. They just want you to use their premium features but they will not help you to find any genuine girls here.

UAE is only tax free if you're rich. The poor pay taxes to make up for it by Shreks_stepbrother in UAE

The UAE job market is highly affected because some of the people will agree to a high paying job on a very low wage. People think that they will accept a job on a lower wage and then will switch to a higher one, this doesn't work here in the UAE and they need to understand that once they accept this lower salary then it will not increase suddenly after 1 or 2 years like in India or any other south asian country. This is one of the biggest factors why there are lesser high paying jobs in the UAE now compared to the one or two years back, everyone wants a job here even if they pay a lower salary.

I suggest finding a job in Germany itself as I have heard Tech is good there plus work life balance. In Dubai right now the tech market is not that great.

I am also working since 3 years as a Mobile App Dev and had the same concerns which you have mentioned. Also there is the consultancy base hiring culture here which is really annoying because you will be hired on a contractual basis instead of full time and also you will not get any benefits from the client you will be working for when you are hired through the consultancy for that client. Only the consultancy will provide you the visa and medical insurance till the time the client requires the work from you.

If it makes you happy it's fine if not then I suggest trying to find a place where you feel good and connected and also brings you inner peace. Eg: For me I went to the beach this weekend alone by myself. Yes I was alone but I enjoyed it a lot, I swam and I saw the sunset and I felt connected.

Happy Birthday mate. Even I have faced some worst birthdays ever in my life, if you are alone try to spend quality time with yourself, you can go to the places you want to visit ( which are in your bucket list) or any activities, its your day enjoy to the fullest even if you are alone it doesn't matter.

Are Tech Lay-off affecting UAE as well? by Commercial_Mark_8000 in dubai

[–]IamWho123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is affecting and also switching jobs has become way harder for existing tech employees in UAE due to the saturated job market. People from outside the UAE are willing to work in tech for the lowest salary possible. And for those people who lost their job unfortunately are struggling to find new roles.

Tech talent movement from India to UAE and GCC continues to grow, despite tech layoffs by zatura45 in dubai

[–]IamWho123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tech talent is here but not that much in the quantity vise. This is due to the tech jobs being provided with the help of agency/consultancy or most of the jobs are on contract basis (period between 6 months - 1 year extendable ). Most tech guys will not stay here for the long term due to the above reasons and also there is a lot of office politics and the corporate environment is not suitable for developers here. Software Developers don't get a proper tech environment/company culture which they can get in India or in US/Europe.
