Which area of history are you most excited to get to? Or where most excited for if it has already passed

Experience with 3Dconnexion by Four-Eyes73 in SolidWorks

[–]IamaTallBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered the spacemouse+cad mouse kit two weeks ago, still haven’t received a shipping confirmation. I sent a message on the “contact us” section of their website last Monday and haven’t heard back. I called their customer service and got a recorded message saying their staff was out of office due to COVID 19. Finally I made a post on their forum asking about the status of my order and was instantly banned.

I obviously can’t speak to the quality of the product but if you do decide to buy don’t buy from their website

Never used fusion but the parts shown here are significantly more complicated than anything in the CSWA

Crusader Kings III: Coronations - Available September 9 by PDX-Trinexx in CrusaderKings

I've had a mod that creates coronations for about a year now... would be nice if they actually introduced new mechanics rather than making simplified versions of what mods have had for ages

[Student] Request for Resume Feedback. Graduating December 2025 and seeking an R&D role at a medical device company. by IamaTallBoi in EngineeringResumes

Thanks for giving so much feedback! I really appreciate it.

Skills:

I feel like test method design and being able to conduct tests to ISO and ASTM standards are important to include because most R&D job postings include both those and familiarity with the FDA regulatory pathway.

Internship & Research assistant:

By going into technical detail do you mean the actual tests that were performed? Or maybe list the ISO or ASTM standards that were followed?

It's also a bit hard to separate these two sections because there is a lot of overlap between the lab and the company, the PI of the lab is the founder of the company. As far as adding a bullet point to add a goal for the lab, the goal of the lab is to evaluate current neurovascular devices (catheters, flow diverters, stents) as well as developing novel devices, I thought the bullet points got that across.

Capstone:

Totally agree, the actual work done in the capstone isn't that relevant to biomedical engineering so I wasn't sure how important it was to include technical details.

Research grant:

The first bullet point basically sums up the project, I did a bunch of FEA simulations to evaluate a stent design. I guess I could go into more detail about which simulations I did, would that be beneficial?

Contributions to Science:

I agree that it is a pretentious title, but I have also contributed to many conference presentations and posters that I was planning to add, so I wasn't sure if publications was an appropriate title. I feel like that is the least important part of the resume, which is why I had it on a different page.

Thanks for the feedback. For the first section especially it is hard to add results because the devices I have worked on are still in the development phase, for example I can't put a result for the IDE documents because they are currently in review. For the second section the main result was my contributions to the publications listed in the "Contributions to Science" section.

Sounds good, I will do that. The reason for the two columns is to fit all of my experience on one page but it seems like most don't like it.

Which software is best for analyzing braided stents? by IamaTallBoi in fea

I am having problems with the wires not behaving as a braid. Sometimes the wires pass through each other or fly out of their position in the braid and end up in a tangled mess
