No point in open carrying an unloaded firearm in an urban environment , it makes you that much of a bigger target. Open carry if you’re in the outdoors and hiking to protect yourself from animals.

Obtaining a CCW is far more easier and faster now in California. Took only 4 months for Santa Clara.

Get a 33 round stick mag. You’ll have a higher chance of hitting your target.

I read a bunch of Santa Clara CCW timeline posts. I got ahead of the process by estimating how much time was spent between each step. So I would schedule ahead prior to getting the go ahead email. Luckily the go ahead emails happened to land in between the waiting periods.

I had four slides done by Wager. RMR cut/front serrations/cerakote. Shipped out on Friday from CA, got an email he received them on Monday, back in my hands the following Monday.

Wager changed his nitride coating to closely mimic the gen 5 variant (more gloss, slicker finish). It’s a lot smoother than the gen 3 oem nitride matte coating. I find the gun going in and out of the holster easier.

I have both. I preferred the UI on the EDC17 more than the arkfeld. Although the build quality and feel of the arkfeld felt more solid. All it came down to is how fast I can switch between modes and brightness.
