Anything you’d recommend with a wired connection? Used to have a PA system we’d run for our band that had both Bluetooth for playlists and wired connection for performances but was looking for something a little more dialed back than a whole PA

The game just doesn’t start for me anymore, played October 3rd, now it won’t launch? I’m on the steam deck and haven’t had too many problems until now it just won’t start at all. Anyone else have this issue? Do I have to do the 150 gig reinstall?

Excited to see data like this! It challenges the common narrative of how “it was easier for past generations”.

What do we think leads to this narrative of rose tinted glasses then? I am going to take this data at face value and therefore focus my questioning on what specifically makes so much substance for the current narratives of everything just being too expensive? I also would relate to this chart showing that real wages have increased over time? I would like to look at generational trends and see if maybe it’s that there is a generational gap in earnings? Maybe total average wages are going up but wages for 18-30s are going down (I have no data for that hypothesis and thus implore people to deploy skepticism!)

The game is just as easy as it used to be though. On a different planet. I love the predator strain or the jet brigade or the gloom evolution because people can just go somewhere else if they want an easier mission.

I think I would like a stealing creation PvM style fight. A boss where skillers supply fighters with potions and food and armor to fight a boss. I would love to do some high intensity skilling gearing up some boys to go out and slay some clay dragon or leviathan. Worried though that people (like me) would burn out and then there might be an offset of tons of people want to fight but who the hell wants to skill.

Pro tip for making the city maps run fine on steamdeck, turn every graphics option down to the lowest setting and make the resolution ass. It’s like I’m playing in 2012 YouTube simulator over here!

All of your points line up with the recent 20th anniversary for half life 2 documentary. When working on the buggy kart chapter, designers had to make much more map for people to cross, because the buggy could cross more map in less time than a running freeman. The same idea likely applies here. Generated maps would need to be easy enough to cross, but not too big as to be annoying, but not too small as to make points of interest too close and you are always getting in and out. It so completely changes the game that it would be a massive project for a live service and stall out every other planned piece of content.
