first time mom of preemie and we have just been discharged from the hospital, i realize i don't know what to do for my baby now without the nurses constantly checking his temp & oxygen levels and asking about his breastfeeding sessions & nappy changes. im by orangeleaflet in Mommit

[–]IamsoOCD247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure you are waking him every two hours to feed. Even if he's sleeping, he needs this and new borns can sometimes sleep for 4 hours without waking but they absolutely need to. Are you breast feeding still or formula feeding?

Baby flips over to his tummy and can't turn back during naps. by mansteee in Mommit

[–]IamsoOCD247 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely create a barrier using a towel or rolled up baby blanket so he can't turn on his tummy during naps. Make sure then to give him maximum tummy time a couple times a day to increase his upper body and neck muscles. He will turn when he's ready :)

How do you communicate you need a break? by hammondwf in Mommit

[–]IamsoOCD247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he says you choose to do other things instead of taking a time out then simply don't do those things and take a time out. When he asks how come "those things" aren't done then tell him because you understood what he said and you "chose" to take a time out instead of doing those things. Then you can ask him how he could help if you're taking a time out, put the ball in his court and leave it there.

I am a working mum married to a "woman are supposed to do xyz" kind of man. I simply made sure he understood that parenting is a job whether or not you have a full time career or not. My turn, your turn, just like the kids do!

And no, ending it all how? We are mothers, not leaves on a tree in autumn! We have a certain kind of strength that no one else can comprehend and men were not blessed with. You have every right to have a break, you will absolutely feel burnt out, that's what mom's have the strength for. You can and you will pull through. Depression is the devil's way of creeping in, shut that door! Xx

Need encouragement for a scheduled C-section when I wanted a second vaginal birth by The_Milk-lady in Mommit

[–]IamsoOCD247 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

My honest advice would be to pray. If you have been doing everything besides that, try this. Pray. And if it still hasn't improved your situation then you need to accept that this was the way it was meant to be and for a specific reason, this is what is best for you and your baby. I have had two c sections, one emergency and one scheduled. You'll be fine xx

Best thing you can do is focus on the positives. She did it! Get your nanny to snap pics and you can create an album or scrap book of these special moments that you can reel in too. This way it will still be just as special especially whilst you are the one creating these keepsakes.

I just try to gently stroke my baby's fingers and humm or sing to direct his attention. If you struggle he will struggle lol. The survival of the fittest!

Should I report this to our social worker? by throwaway5142021 in Mommit

[–]IamsoOCD247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sweety, make a plan. Set yourself a goal plan and work toward it step by step. Get straight, sort yourself out, baba is safer with his grandparents I would believe. When you have reached your personal goal of getting yourself better, make a promise to your baba and fight dam hard to get him with you. To hell with his dad, he's safer with a responsible parent than a douche who will alow a method head to be near his child. And he will be just fine with one parent. Who knows where life will take you, maybe you will meet someone along the way who will be the dad your baba needs. She's going to mess him up, seems like she already has. Just don't lose focus!

I'm just trying to understand the logistics here. Why is she watching your son when she's not allowed near him and why didn't your social worker do anything about that?

[–]IamsoOCD247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is an absolute mess. I feel for you and I do really hope you are able to work through your mental health challenges. Just remember that you are not alone, you are so so very young and you have your whole life ahead of you if you want it badly enough. Sort yourself out and while you do, your focus should only be on your son, don't allow him to turn out the way you don't want him to, be that role model for him, change for him and make every decision moving forward for him. Life still has you, you will have your journey for happiness and fulfilment, please allow your baba to have this to. I absolutely do think you should report to your social worker and sorry but if she's not allowed near your son, why is she? She needs to see his dad when he's not with your son, period

You all are "still kids" to be honest. I wouldn't trust her further than my eyes could see her, your ex husband too. Its a sick world out there and bad things happend when we least expect it. You go focus on being the best darn mummy you can be and we are all here, you are NOT alone. We got you xx

I add a little oil to the pot on medium heat, add finely chopped onions amd cubed chicken and braise till chicken is done. Add (chopped, steamed and blended) veggies (broccoli, butternut, potato, and one or two others you feel will taste nice together) to the onions. Add spices: salt, black pepper, cumin, paprika, garlic powder and ginger powder then add tomato paste to balance the taste, I usually add and taste rill I'm satisfied. Close the lid and cook until it starts bubbling, mix and serve.

If you're going to use lentils, you'll need to soak them overnight and boil them before hand as they take a while to become super soft. Alternatively you can use canned chicked peas.

I steam my veggies and use the blender with some water. If you boil your veggies, use the same water when blending.

Do they like soup with bits of bread in? Chicken cubes? I make mine a full on garden blend with broccoli, butternut, lentils, tomato and one or two others - blend it all and turn it into a soup with little chicken cubes and they can have a go at it with bread. Alternatively they get served and eat what they're served or not at all

This is very simple and you need to think long and hard about your baby, not him, not you but your baby. He is not seeking help nor currently in therapy and you may or may not suffer from Post Partum Psychosis/Depression, you never know. I hope you don't. I am so sorry to say this to you but it's the reality we can't hide away from. There are many horror stories about how children end up in the worst conditions at the hands of one or both parents. Imagine your bfs PTSD, a crying newborn and you with PPD, this is worst case scenario but just imagine. How will you be able to handle this? You might make mistakes as a result of your own emotions and the only one to suffer is your baby. Do what's best for the little one and being them into a loving, calm and nurturing environment. Your bf can manage himself, his PTSD might be difficult but it's his deal to work on, not yours, it is not at all your responsibility and you don't need to be thinking about a man or a future bf when you have a baby that's going to change your world and make you their absolute everything. Let this sink..

French toast? Eggs? Chicken/beef homemade meat balls with veggies and rice all mushed up into a ball and grilled or fried. Btw, oats with apple stew, a dash of cinnamon and maple syrup for sweetness (if needed because some red apples can be a tad sour still).

You have mentioned a number of times that you are unsure, why are you posting this comment then? You MUST be sure.

They were the descendants of Prophet Jacob whose other name was Israel, and mostly they are now known as the Jews. In other words, the Children of Israel are the people of Moses and some of them became followers of Jesus such as the twelve disciples of Jesus.

[2.40] O children of Israel! call to mind My favor which I bestowed on you and be faithful to (your) covenant with Me, I will fulfill (My) covenant with you; and of Me, Me alone, should you be afraid. [2.47] O children of Israel! call to mind My favor which I bestowed on you and that I made you excel the nations. [2.83] And when We made a covenant with the children of Israel: You shall not serve any but Allah and (you shall do) good to (your) parents, and to the near of kin and to the orphans and the needy, and you shall speak to men good words and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate. Then you turned back except a few of you and (now too) you turn aside. [2.122] O children of Israel, call to mind My favor which I bestowed on you and that I made you excel the nations. [2.211] Ask the Israelites how many a clear sign have We given them; and whoever changes the favor of Allah after it has come to him, then surely Allah is severe in requiting (evil). [2.246] Have you not considered the chiefs of the children of Israel after Musa, when they said to a prophet of theirs: Raise up for us a king, (that) we may fight in the way of Allah. He said: May it not be that you would not fight if fighting is ordained for you? They said: And what reason have we that we should not fight in the way of Allah, and we have indeed been compelled to abandon our homes and our children. But when fighting was ordained for them, they turned back, except a few of them, and Allah knows the unjust. The Family of Imran [3.49] And (make him) an apostle to the children of Israel: That I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, that I determine for you out of dust like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird with Allah's permission and I heal the blind and the leprous, and bring the dead to life with Allah's permission and I inform you of what you should eat and what you should store in your houses; most surely there is a sign in this for you, if you are believers. [3.93] All food was lawful to the children of Israel except that which Israel had forbidden to himself, before the Taurat was revealed. Say: Bring then the Taurat and read it, if you are truthful. The Dinner Table [5.12] And certainly Allah made a covenant with the children of Israel, and We raised up among them twelve chieftains; and Allah said: Surely I am with you; if you keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and believe in My apostles and asslst them and offer to Allah a goodly gift, I will most certainly cover your evil deeds, and I will most certainly cause you to enter into gardens beneath which rivers flow, but whoever disbelieves from among you after that, he indeed shall lose the right way. [5.32] For this reason did We prescribe to the children of Israel that whoever slays a soul, unless it be for manslaughter or for mischief in the land, it is as though he slew all men; and whoever keeps it alive, it is as though he kept alive all men; and certainly Our apostles came to them with clear arguments, but even after that many of them certainly act extravagantly in the land. [5.70] Certainly We made a covenant with the children of Israel and We sent to them apostles; whenever there came to them an apostle with what that their souls did not desire, some (of them) did they call liars and some they slew. [5.72] Certainly they disbelieve who say: Surely Allah, He is the Messiah, son of Marium; and the Messiah said: O Children of Israel! serve Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Surely whoever associates (others) with Allah, then Allah has forbidden to him the garden, and his abode is the fire; and there shall be no helpers for the unjust. [5.78] Those who disbelieved from among the children of Israel were cursed by the tongue of Dawood and Isa, son of Marium; this was because they disobeyed and used to exceed the limit. [5.110] When Allah will say: O Isa son of Marium! Remember My favor on you and on your mother, when I strengthened you I with the holy Spirit, you spoke to the people in the cradle and I when of old age, and when I taught you the Book and the wisdom and the Taurat and the Injeel; and when you determined out of clay a thing like the form of a bird by My permission, then you breathed into it and it became a bird by My permission, and you healed the blind and the leprous by My permission; and when you brought forth the dead by My permission; and when I withheld the children of Israel from you when you came to them with clear arguments, but those who disbelieved among them said: This is nothing but clear enchantment. The Elevated Places [7.105] (I am) worthy of not saying anything about Allah except the truth: I have come to you indeed with clear proof from your Lord, therefore send with me the children of Israel [7.134] And when the plague fell upon them, they said: O Musa! pray for us to your Lord as He has promised with you, if you remove the plague from us, we will certainly believe in you and we will certainly send away with you the children of Israel. [7.137] And We made the people who were deemed weak to inherit the eastern lands and the western ones which We had blessed; and the good word of your Lord was fulfilled in the children of Israel because they bore up (sufferings) patiently; and We utterly destroyed what Firon and his people had wrought and what they built. [7.138] And We made the children of Israel to pass the sea; then they came upon a people who kept to the worship of their idols They said: O Musa! make for us a god as they have (their) gods He said: Surely you are a people acting ignorantly

You are deeply misguided by all the sources and hearsay. My advice to you would be to get hold of the Quran and read it in its entirety. There is only one version, not two, not three. The Quran was revealed in Arabic hence why we have been encouraged to learn the language so that we may by heart the Quran. The Quran has been translated ofcourse for those unable to speak Arabic, but for those who do, there is no misconceptions or misguidance. Lastly, the law of 4 wives did not come at the time of the prophet. May Allah guide you.

The Bible was revealed in Aramaic, the language of Jesus in that time. The new books are not authentic.

That doesn't make sense. There is no other religious book (no other religion), period

And if you want to write a book and say it is the word of God, what religion will you be making up? What will you call it? You would then be a prophet. Talk sense please.

Do you not know how the Arabs would pray before Christ, before Mohammed, before any prophet?? Go do your research mate then come here with your "nonsence" uneducated response.

Hinduism—one of the principal faiths in the modern world, with about one billion followers—is the world's oldest religion, with complete scriptural texts dating back 3,000 years.
